A Moment of Silent Meditation

The Morning Prayer Rev. Jill Rhinehart

The Lord’s Prayer Unison Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he arose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. WELCOME! Our Mission is to “Live and Love as Christ.” This means that we not only serve God within the church walls but we also desire to serve God outside of the church walls. We invite everyone to experience the love and grace of our Almighty God. The United Methodist Church is made up of connectional disciples with open hearts, open minds, and open doors in order to help transform the world. We would like to have the opportunity to get to know you and have you get to know us. Rev. Jill B. Rhinehart

Exciting News in our Music Ministries!

We are thrilled about starting two new ensembles this year. Our new Youth Choir, open to 6th-12th graders will meet on Wednesdays 5-6pm in the choir room. The first rehearsal is September 20th. The Chancel Choir also has a very exciting year ahead and we encourage all who love to sing to join us this year! We meet on Wednesdays at 7pm in the choir room. Our Contemporary/Modern Worship Band is also growing and is always open to more members. For more information, please see Carlos Zamora, Director of Music Ministries.

Fall School Supply Drive Now through 9/12/17 We are currently collecting the following to support our community schools: pencils, hand sanitizer, tissues, dry erase markers, Clorox (or other brand) wipes, staples, index cards, and Post it notes. There is a collection bin in front of Aaron Simmons’ office.

Please help us build the UMCOR

inventory of relief supplies. At this

time, UMCOR is in need of hygiene

kits and cleaning buckets. Please bring your flood buckets and/or

hygiene kits to CUMC and we will deliver to the collection spot. The

lists are available in the CAC Hallway, our website and

Facebook page.
