Two contractual staff engagedin AIR FM has been removed fromservice and a programme officer ofthe channel suspended followingreports of a woman employeebeing sexually harassed.
The move comes after a three-member committee set up to lookinto the allegation recommendedvarious corrective actions andremedial measures to ensure thesafety of women, especially those
working during odd hours inPrasar Bharati, said officials in theI&B Ministry.
“On the basis of the recom-mendations of the committee,Prasar Bharati has removed twocontract staff in AIR FM Gold, sus-pended the programme executivein charge of the channel to facili-tate inquiry and issued a showcause notice to the head of theDelhi Kendra of AIR,” they said.(PTI)
