WARM SALT WATER FLUSH- IT WORKSFAST!!!!I'm 30 years old, and I've had a very badhistory of stubborn and long lasting styes. I'vetried several home-made remedies, includingOver the counter eye drop antibiotics, butthese did NOT work for me (my stye tookapproximately 1.5 weeks to go away):

DID NOT WORK:1. hot tea bag compresses 10x a day2. warm rice compresses3. polysporin/other eye remedies4. Baby Shampoo

Finally I tried something that worked. As soon as Iwake up or start getting that achy pain that tellsme a stye is coming I do the following.

1. Wash the infected eye with Johnson's BabyShampooo.2. Take 1 cup of WARM water (not too hot, as thiscould burn) and mix it well with 1.5 TEASPOONof salt water.3. Flush out your infected eye with the salt water.If you are able to, you can also use an instrumentto help you do this, e.g a syringe or a dentalmonoject4. Please note that your eye WILL STING as aresult of the salt, but if it stings too much, justrinse it with plain tap water again,or use 1teaspoon of salt instead of 1.5.

Rinse with salt water as many times possiblethroughout the day, and you should notice that thestye will shrink quickly.

When you have a Stye in your eye, just apply alittle bit of YOUR urine to clear it up. I can tell youthat getting a small amount of fresh urine on acotton wool ball and applying it to styes, works atreat-your stye will be gone in a few hours-mayneed a couple of applications though. It hasalways worked for me. :)

Every time I feel an eye infection or stye coming Iuse a slice of onion. Yes it burns but it willdefinitely do the job. Just place it over the affectedeye as long as you can. If you can even openyour eye slightly as you hold the onion close byyour eye. It works!

all my life i have always been told to use apotatoe.....cut a tater in half and place it over youreye. This takes away the pain and cures it as well...not sure how but it works great!!!

brest milk works almost instantly (if your not toogrossed out @ the thought) and also the lining ofan egg shell(the white part that on the inside)

I used to get styes regularly. I got one and the girlI was dating (pHD chemist) told me to put EARWAX on it. It went away within a couple of hours. Istarted using this remedy whenever I'd feel oneforming and it has always worked, always. Iinitially thought it was pretty gross but I no longerget styes. Don't ask me how it works but it suredid for me.

For a stie, a hot tea bag, (as hot as you can standit), works well because the heat draws the puss tothe surface and the tannic acid does something,(not sure what,) but when I could see the whitehead on the surface on the inside of the eyelid Ijust gently squeezed it and puss drained out.Then, I rinsed with saline....all better now. Be sureto keep rinsing with saline or else infection willhappen. (Sties are contagious!)

Home remedy for sty!

My best remedy for sty.I have sty for 6 monthsand have try many remedies described in thisforum before I discovered little bitter gourd tea formy stubborn sty.

Five packets of little bitter gourd tea bag eachmorning on empty stomach.Soak the little bittergourd tea bag in hot water,add a little sea salt andcover for 15 minutes before drinking.

The above tea bag can be reused many times.Do

I made camomile tea and dipped cotton ball intoit--has to be warm-hot and applied compress to asty SEVERAL times during the day .Sty clearedup - by the end of the day! I have done thisbefore,it works!
