Three hospitalized after Daviemotorcycle crash

DAVIE—
Three people were taken to the hospital, at least one of them in critical condition, after a
motorcycle collided with two cars near a Publix in Davie Sunday afternoon, said police.
The accident happened at 1:30 p.m. when a car traveling northbound on University Drive
made a left turn into the Publix Plaza colliding with a motorcycle traveling southbound on
University Drive, said Davie Police spokesman Capt. Dale Engle.
The man on the motorcycle was ejected and the bike continued to hit another car leaving the
Publix plaza, located just south of Griffin Road.
The man riding the motorcycle, who is in his mid-40s, was transported to Memorial Regional
Hospital. He is in critical condition.
The two people in the first car were also taken to the hospital but police didn't know their
conditions.
The drivers of the cars stayed on the scene and waited for police, said Engle.

I drove past it and thought the motorcyclist must be in bad shape after seeing thecondition of the car that hit him. The hood of the car was pushed in quite a bit.
