Mayonnaise as a hair Conditioner It is impor- tant that you apply mayon- naise, all over the hair, just like you would with a condi- tioner, and to leave it on for at least 30 minutes. After this time has passed, wash it off with lukewarm water. To obtain the best results, you can apply this type of natural homemade hair mask a couple of times a week. = Apply Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon Juice on Pimples There are many acne busters on the market, but there are times when natural remedies can work at a faster pace, such as mixing apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. Whenever you see, or feel, a bump on your face, apply this solution to it, with a cotton swab. It tends to bring down bumps within 24 hours. = Drink and Apply Cucumber Apply cucumber juice on your face a few times a week, and then rinse it off with luke- warm water. By doing this, you’ll be able to boost the way your skin looks, as cucumber contains many antioxi- dants, and it’s an anti-inflammatory. You can also try drinking cucumber juice every morning = Dark Circles Slice a raw potato, into thin circles, and put them over your eyelids, for 15- 20 minutes, daily, for a week. After the first week, you can use it two/three times a week. = wrinkles Cut a green seedless grape in half and gently crush it onto your face and neck area. Leave it on for 20 min- utes and then rinse off and pat dry. Repeat this every day. = Aging Skin Whisk an egg white, add to it 2 tablespoons of yogurt and mix well. Apply to skin, using an old, but clean foundation brush. Let sit for 15 minutes and rinse with luke warm water. The egg white has been known to tighten the skin, thereby eradicating wrinkles and fine lines. = Dry Skin Warm up a tablespoon of coconut oil (in the tablespoon itself) and then add 3 drops of honey. Massage into skin, using circular motions. Apply a warm damp cloth to face and let sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with plain water and see instant moisturizing results, specifically for dry skin! The overall winner of the 2014 Grand Barista Championship was D.M.D. Sampath, a young barista from the city of Badulla. Sampath joined Barista, over a year ago, as a Junior Brew Master, with absolutely no prior experience with coffee. Under the watchful eye of his coach and manager, Damith Dalawella, and with the support and encouragement of the Training Department and the Operations Team of Barista Lavazza, Sampath excelled, grow- ing from strength to strength, to become one of Barista’s outstanding success sto- ries. For his signature beverage, in the final round of the Grand Barista Championship, Sampath prepared a ‘Sweet Cardamom Whisper,’ which brought together tantaliz- ing Sri Lankan spices, such as cardamom and clove, with premium quality Italia cof- fee, to create a tantalizing blend of his own creation.
