Design Access is a rare opportunity which combines professional designer expertise with exclusive access to High Point Showrooms. $100 gets you in the door! Join us the 1st Wednesday* of the month to shop with one of Visit High Point’s Preferred Designers in showrooms that are not open to the general public. Projects can range from one custom-made piece to your entire home.
* Design Access Preferred Designers are also available for hire independently outside the 1st Wednesdays. Fees are $150 for the first 2-hours and negotiated directly with the designer under separate agreement from the Design Access program.
Your Personal Designer will: • Answer your design questions and give guidance. • Assist with floor plan layouts and design services. • Help you select your fabrics, colors and furnishings. • Guide you in making wise design and cost-effective decisions. • Place your orders with the showrooms and handle all logistics,
coordinate shipping** and arrange delivery throughout the US and worldwide.
• Handle after delivery services like inspection, inventory tracking and issue management.
** In-home delivery and white glove services can be negotiated by and paid through your designated designer.

High Point is the mecca for home furnishings and design. After all, we do host the High Point Market, the largest wholesale home furnishings tradeshow in the world! With more than 100 furniture stores and outlets in the region, open to the public, the array of product and design is limitless. There are so many ways to shop for furniture in High Point and the surrounding area! Shop the traditional way, or pair yourself with one of our Preferred Interior Designers and get into select manufacturer showrooms that are only open to the trade! Whichever you choose, we invite you to take advantage of our complimentary concierge service, where you can receive a customized furniture shopping experience just for you.

FURNITURE SHOPPING TIPS
HIGH POINT STORES
• Do your Homework. Familiarize yourself with manufacturers, prices and styles by comparison shopping before you leave home. It's easy to become overwhelmed with choices once you're here. Helpful resources include the Visit High Point Website and Furniture Shopping in NC Facebook Page.
• Timing. Avoid mid-April and mid-October, when the region is hosting 75,000+ market attendees during the High Point Market. 2021 Dates: June and October
• Shipping. Fees vary from store to store just like the prices. Some charge a percentage of invoice, while others charge by weight. Some on the other hand will refer you to shippers as opposed to handling in-house. Compare your options and make note of what's inclusive (set-up or assembly).
• Payment. Be prepared to make deposits on purchases. The balance is generally due upon delivery.
• What to pack. Bring photographs of your home, measurements and detailed floor plans, as well as paint chips and fabric swatches from furniture and rugs you already own.
• Wear comfortable shoes.
• Depending on the size of your project, plan to spend several hours to a couple days to make price and inventory comparisons to finalize your purchase.
• When making your hotel reservation, be sure to ask for a furniture shopping rate as many of the hotels provide discounts.
• Be equipped with transportation as shopping is spread out with more than 100 furniture stores across the Piedmont Triad area.
