Principal’s Report
Yaama
We have a very busy finish to the term with Easter celebrations, Cross
Country and the Big Vegie Crunch all coming up.
We are looking for donations of craft supplies to assist in the making
of our Easter hats next week. Please just send these in with you child.
The students love being able to create their own masterpieces at
school that they can then show off during our parade.
We are also looking for some help with running our breakfast club of
a morning. It is such an important service in our school, and prepares
students for the day ahead. We only run it for about 20 minutes each
morning so any time you can spare would be greatly appreciated.
With this being our final newsletter for Term 1, I would like to take
the opportunity to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday.
Remember the school grounds will be open over the holidays as part
of the “Share our Space” initiative. Community members are
welcome to use the grounds to play and utilise.
A security guard will be on duty during the two weeks but if you do
see anything of concern happening at the school, please notify the
police or call the security hotline on 1800 811 523. The last thing we
want is for our students to return to a damaged playground.
Students return Tuesday 30th April.

The Big Vegie Crunch!
Get ready for The Big Vegie Crunch!
On Thursday 4th April at 10 am our school will be joining hundreds of schools across NSW to break the record for the most students crunching vegetables simultaneously.
What is The Big Vegie Crunch?
Only around 5% of NSW children eat enough vegetables. To help our community do better, our school will be taking part in The Big
Vegie Crunch (part of Vegetable Week) at 10am on Thursday 4th April.
Primary schools across NSW will be joining together to break the record for the most students crunching vegetables simultaneously. Last year 50,260 students crunched together.
What can you do to help?
Pack a container of vegetables (not fruit this time) for your child to eat on Thursday 4th April. Keep serving up the vegetables at home and in your children’s lunchboxes!
If you require more information on what activities our school is doing over Vegetable Week, please contact the school or your child’s teacher.
Mrs Tara King-Gee
Vegetable Week School Coordinator
