bâÜ ctÜ|á{ _|yx É y cÜtçxÜ SUNDAY’S REFLECTION: Passion The contrast between the processional reading in today’s liturgy and the proclamation of the Passion is striking. We are given a glimpse of how profoundly the word of God is fulfilled in Jesus. First he must be hailed as the Messiah, the One who is to come. He must be acknowledged by all, though they do not know what they are saying. They think he is the promised king, a worldly king of the Jews who will free them from the Roman occupation. They do not yet understand, even the disciples, ex-actly where this triumphal procession is leading. In our lives, we too do not know where we are going. It is in faith that we can follow Christ wherever he may lead us, trusting that death is not the end, nor evil the victor.

PRAYER FOR OUR BELOVED SICK

Holy Mary, help those in need, give strength to the weak, comfort the sorrowful, pray for God's people, assist the

clergy, intercede for religious. May all who seek your help experience your unfailing protection. Amen.

ANNUAL SEDER DINNER The Seder is a dinner with a memori-al ritual of Passover. It represents the remembrance of sacrifices made and freedom obtained by the Exodus from Egypt. In the Old Testament, the Seder is required to be performed each year by God. In the New Testament, Jesus, being Jewish, celebrated the Seder. It was during His final Seder dinner, now known as the Last Supper, Jesus showed us the way to remember and commemorate Him by instituting the Holy Eucharist. Holy Spirit’s annual Seder dinner will be held on March 28, at 6pm in Doyle Hall. The Seder, including a lamb dinner, is a memorial ritual of Passover. PASTORAL SERVICES APPEAL (PSA) 2018 Each year in the Diocese of Orange, there is a unique opportunity to say WE ARE ONE. We know we are many, and we are remarkably diverse. All of our communities have a distinctive and welcoming presence, and our parish is made up of people from many cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Yet,

WE ARE ONE!!!

The annual Pastoral Services Appeal invites everyone to celebrate God’s abundance and to open our hearts in service to others. A gift to the appeal will enliven our Gospel values in concrete ways.

♦ Catholic Education and Formation ♦ Outreach to the poor and vulnerable ♦ Formation to Priests and Deacons ♦ Parishes and Catholic Centers

Every gift makes a difference. Thank you for your sacrificial offering. May Jesus, through the intercession of our Lady of Grace, bless you always.
