Mission Statement
We, the parishioners of Holy Spirit Catholic Church,
come together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit
to promote the mission of Jesus Christ by reaching
out in service, fostering Christian growth in our
families and spreading the Gospel of Jesus’ presence
in our community and beyond. We recognize the
fundamental importance of faith, prayer, fellowship
and a call to serve others.

to the printer by Monday prior to the upcoming
weekend. If you have a question contact the office

Reminder: Due to the Privacy (HIPAA) Laws hos-
pitals are not able to notify us if you or a loved one
are admitted to the hospital. A family member must
notify us if you wish for a priest to visit the hospital
or are requesting an e-mailed prayer request.

ers for the Altar and Ambo ($140) for all three

Bishop Stika issues directive for Mass celebrations
during flu season-Since February is typically the
peak flu season, Bishop Richard F. Stika has issued a
directive suspending the distribution of the Precious
Blood and the exchange of handshakes during the
sign of peace at all Masses in the Diocese of Knox-
ville effective February 1st and continuing through
March 1st. Any parishioner exhibiting cold or flu
symptoms is encouraged to refrain from attending
Mass and is released from their Sunday obligation
during this time.
Ash Wednesday, February 26, 2020-Mass Times are
6:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Stations of the
Cross will be on Fridays during Lent at 6:00 p.m. fol-
lowed by a Lenten Dinner at 6:30 p.m. and a guest
speaker at 7:15 p.m.

Just a reminder that SVdP is still collecting alumi-
num drink cans. Please place your bags of cans in the
bin down by the pavilion. This is an easy way to sup-
port SVdP and get rid of your cans at the same time.
SVdP is only collecting aluminum cans for recycling.
In a celebration of Mardi Gras, you are invited to
the Green & Gold Gala benefiting Notre Dame High
School. The masquerade gala will be held on Febru-
ary 22nd at 7:00 p.m. at Stratton Hall and includes
dinner, dancing, silent/live auction, and casino games.
Tickets are $50 per person and all proceeds benefit
upgrades to computer technology and improved wifi
access at Notre Dame. For more information or to

perpetuate the mission of Notre Dame High School.
The Youth Choir will be singing at the Confirma-
tion Mass on March 8th at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. If
you are in 6th through 12th grade and like to sing
consider joining the Youth Choir. We will be practic-
ing on February 23rd and March 1st from 6:00-7:30
p.m. at the Church. You must attend practices to sing
at Mass. If you have any questions please call Lisa
