Mass. Eucharistic Ministers are available to bring
Holy Communion to homes on a regular or as
needed basis. Arrangements for the Sacrament of
the Sick can also be made.

BLOOD DRIVE IN HOLY FAMILY GYMThe next Holy Family Blood Drive will be Sunday, June 2, from 8 am-1 pm in the gymnasium. There is a critical need for blood donations as we go into the summer months. Please sign up in the entryway.
YOGA AT HOLY FAMILY COMING SOONStarting June 12, Holy Family will be oZering yoga classes taught by Maggie Spaulding. Heart Centered Yoga will take place Tuesdays from 6:15-7:15 pm and Saturdays from 8:30-9:30 am. Restorative Healing Yoga will take place Tuesdays from 7:45-8:45 pm and Saturdays from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Classes are open to all levels, males and females over the age of 18. Attendees should bring their own yoga mat, yoga blanket, or other necessary props. Students should be in good phyiscal health or be cleared by a physician. Attendees will be required to sign a liability release form. A “love” donation of $5 will be accepted to benefit ALIVE Hospice. Spots are limited. To RSVP, visit the Holy Family website. Downtown Presbyterian Church is in desperate need of items for their Clothes Closet for the homeless population. We will be collecting all sizes of men’s underwear, small to XL of women’s underwear, white, dark, crew, and ankle socks, toothbrushes, travel size deodorant, all sizes of men’s/women’s flip flops, and baseball caps June 2 - June 18, in the collection boxes in the Gather Area designated for “DPC Clothes Closet.” For more info, contact [email protected].

GIRL SCOUTS
Overbook School is hiring for the following
positions, all beginning August 2018: 3rd and 4th
grade teachers, a teacher’s aide for kindergarten,
and a part-time director for extended care for
preschool and kindergarten. For info regarding

OVERBOOK SCHOOL JOB OPENINGSThis ministry is designed to provide social
interaction for children (newborn through preschool)
AND their parents (or grandparents). The kids can
play while the adults make new friends... and we’ll
end with a quick prayer. Our summer sessions
will be held at the Crockett Park playground the
2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from

WEIGHT WATCHERS
Beginning June 14, Alive Hospice will oaer an
8-week discussion and support group for adults
to share their experience of grief following the
loss of a loved one. This group will be limited in
size and facilitated by a certified Alive Hospice
grief counselor. This is a safe and supportive
environment in which to connect with others
experiencing a similar loss. These sessions will
be held from 6-7:30 pm in the Gather Conference

ALIVE HOSPICE GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP

The Holy Family Bunco Group meets at 7 pm on
the second Thursday each month (Sept-June) at a
member’s home. New members are welcome to
join anytime. As a member, you can attend every
month or just as your schedule allows. Bunco is
an easy, fun game to play and a great way to meet
other women of the parish. If you are interested

Have a Webelos II scout or 5th grade student
ready to start in Boy Scouts? Come visit Troop 418.
Pack 223 and Troop 418 are getting ready for
the summer. Cub scouts can attend Day Camp at
Holy Family and overnight trips at Boxwell. Boy
Scouts are headed to summer camp and the High
Adventure Sea Base sailing in the Florida Keys.

BOY SCOUTS
ADULTING 101: FOR GRADUATING SENIORSSusan Plantz, former County Extension Home
Economist, is o\ering a three-hour, HANDS ON
class to graduating high school seniors to assist
them with mastering life skills such as cleaning a
bathroom, washing clothes, cooking for one, and
more. Participants will learn money saving tips and
roommate advice. Classes are o\ered on Thursday
afternoons from 1-4 pm in June. Spots are limited.

Volleyball meets the first Saturday of each month,
followed by a fire pit and smores’. It is from 6-8 pm.
Beginners and advanced are welcome. June 2 is

FAMILY VOLLEYBALL & FIRE PIT
As you have probably heard, Father Justin has been
reassigned to St. Christopher Church in Dickson,
TN, e\ective July 1. Please stop by the Parish Hall
after the 5:00 pm Mass on June 23 to wish him
well and show him our thanks for his four years of
service at Holy Family. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and
liquid refreshments will be served from 6:00 pm to
8:00 pm in the Parish Hall.
RECEPTION HONORING FR. JUSTIN RAINES
All Catholic homeschoolers are welcome to the
Feast of the Visitation Celebration. This is now
taking place May 30, 9:30-11:30 am at Edwin Warner
Park’s Picnic Area, Shelter 3. The focus will be on
fellowship and gauging interest in new ministry for
Catholic homeschoolers in the area. Please bring
a snack to share. For those interested, several
families will be attending daily mass in the day
chapel at 8 am, followed by confession and the

This past season our Room in the Inn Ministry:

ROOM IN THE INN ACCOMPLISHMENTS
On Thursday, June 7, starting at 6:00 pm at St. Philip
Church, Holy Family parishioners are welcome to
attend a reception/potluck dinner meeting. The
June meeting is the installation of new oYcers so
we will not have a guest speaker. Plan to attend
this meeting and continue to pray for Religious
Vocations by mailing a fully addressed prayer
card from our weekday chapel to one of our 23
Seminarians. We also have prayer cards for Luke
Donahue from Holy Family who is attending the
Moreau Seminary of Holy Cross at Norte Dame.

SUMMER BOOK STUDYJoin the Wednesday summer book members who
will read and discuss, Daring to Hope by Katie Davis
Majors, the sequel to Kisses from Katie. Katie’s
mission over the last ten years in Uganda has been
to provide food, water, shelter, and education for
its residents. Her mother, Mary Pat Davis, will visit
during one of these sessions to share the amazing
work of Amazina, the non-profit organization
providing resources for this amazing work. The first
discussion will be on June 6, from 10-11 am in the

STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKINGThe US Catholic Conference of Bishops works
continually to raise awareness of human traQcking
and modern-day slavery within the American
Catholic community. SHEPHERD (Stop Human
TraQcking and Exploitation, Protect, Help,
Empower and Restore Dignity) educates lay and
religious leaders about human traQcking from a
Catholic perspective, equipping them with needed
knowledge and skills to combat human traQcking

CURSILLO UPCOMING WEEKENDSMen’s Cursillo will take place September 20-23.
Women’s Cursillo will take place September 27-
30. Cursillo is a weekend experience of dynamic
spiritual growth that begins on Thursday evening
and ends on Sunday evening. It helps develop
an understanding of what it means to fully live in
your everday situation. Cursillo provides a method
to transform your life through prayer and small
Christian communities. Weekends are held at Camp

the experiences of American girls from colonial
times to present through crafting, games, story time,

AMERICAN GIRL SUMMER ADVENTURE
Camp St. Cecilia’s Summer Safari, for girls grades

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2018
The 2018-19 Religious Formation Registration
is underway. Forms can be found by the water
fountain across from the Gather Area. There are
2 forms this year that need to be filled out in their
entirety and returned together with your check or
cash payment. Forms may be turned in to the front
odce or in the basket provided on the registration
table. Registration continues through August 18.
