Our Savior, Jesus Christ, has conquered death and everything that diminishes the Divine life in us and among us. His resurrection from the dead is not simply a fact of history to be retold at Easter - rather, it is a mystery to be lived every day. As Christians, we
are just as inspired by the presence of Jesus among us as those who first saw the empty tomb.
Like them, we know that Jesus is not found among the dead. He lives among us in our community gathered to celebrate the Eucharist. He also lives in the Gospel proclaimed by word and deed. Through the Sacraments of the Church, he gathers disciples, heals the sick, reconciles sinners and calls us to service. In the Church’s outreach, it is the hand of Jesus that lifts up the poor, feeds the hungry, shelters the homeless and visits the confined. In these ways, and many others, we give witness to the mystery of Jesus living among us. Indeed, we become the Body of Christ for the world.
We wish you blessings, not only in this Easter season, but each and every day. We pray that our Risen Lord will be revealed to you in Word and Sacrament, in the love of family, friends and Church and, in the witness of charity and holiness of life.

PREP REGISTRATION – Starting….TUESDAY, APRIL 18, registrations will be accepted for Levels 1 – 7 for classes beginning September 2017. Registrations will be taken each Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the PREP Office. For any new applicants, a photocopy of their Baptismal Certificate is required.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS ANNOUNCEMENTSEarth Day Bicycle Drive & Clinic - Just in time for Spring Cleaning! CWL ANNOUNCEMENTSGeneral Meeting and Guest Speaker – Jackie Merandi, a member of the Board of Directors (Community Development) for the Burnaby Hospice Society will speak at our general meeting on Thursday, April 20. The mission for the Hospice Society is to ensure that no
one in Burnaby goes through the end-of-life journey alone. Jackie will show a video and speak about Palliative care and the “Hike for Hospice” that will take place on May 7. We extend an invitation to our members and all women of the parish to join as at 7:00pm on the April 20 in the Music Room of the church basement. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.Strawberry Tea – Save the Date for our annual STRAWBERRY TEA. It will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 2:00-4:00pm in the school gymnasium.

DYING HEALED WORKSHOP – This workshop will help you understand how to spend an hour with vulnerable people. With greater confidence you’ll be able to seek volunteer opportunities at hospitals, long-term care facilities, or parish-based groups. Now more than ever we can help foster a culture that is more open to life. The Dying Healed Program doesn’t aim to replace existing volunteer programs for elderly or disabled patients, or those in long-term care, palliative or hospice care. This program is a “pre-training” program giving formation and knowledge on end-of-life issues, understanding of human suffering, human dignity, and the power of human presence.The following panel will lead the interactive workshop:•Fr.
