First Fine Arts Night: Quite a lot of Talent On Display
and a Good Time Was Had By All
May 2013
Congratulations Mrs. McCleave!
Your students are being so well prepared as evi-
denced by their growth in the Dial 3 Readiness
Screening (not to mention upper 90 + percentile
rankings). Please spread the word about our
Preschool. We’re full for the 4 y ear old program
for next year, but we still have room in the 3 yr.
old.
Please also spread the news about our Kinder-
garten through 8th grade program. Scholarships
are available if finances are the blocking point.

Fine Arts Night April 22nd at 6:30
San Jose Hall will turn into a museum on
Monday, April 22nd. There will be cham-
ber music (K-2 Violin recitals), sacred mu-
sic (Mid-school choir), and light rock (all-
school ensembles) to accompany admirers
of our school children’s art work. Cheese,
fruit, and desserts will be served. All are
welcome to stop by!
Other Important Dates:
Iowa Basic Tests: April 15-25th
Faith Bowl:4th/5th & Mid-school Apr. 19th
On April 22nd Holy Child Catholic School experienced our first
annual Fine Arts Night. The event was a success and will be rep-
licated in future years. We were able to focus on art and music in
a shorter, more celebratory manner, than if we had incorporated
these skills into a family gathering.
Pictures below and to the right show our violinists, choral group
and the art museum. More pictures are on p. 2-4.

Put on your running sneakers and come out
and support our students as they culminate
their P.E. year with a 5 K run (K-1 START

Primera Agua (a very big hill to start) and
then winds around the neighborhood behind
us. There are great views of the Cibola Na-

be there to cheer them on and hand out
water. There will be an ice cream party
to follow. We need help if you’re able.
