Back by popular demand are eternal favourites such as Torquay and Blackpool Turkey & Tinsel, but we have also added some new destinations this year, like The Isle of Wight and The Cotswolds. We hope there is something to suit everyone.

Whether you are after a relaxing break or one packed full of exciting days out, the choice is yours. Many day excursions are included, but some are optional extras. If you just want to relax at your own leisure, then please do so. Alternatively, if you want a jam packed itinerary, keep an eye out for those optional extras and let our team know at the time of booking.

As always, there are no hidden costs, and no unwelcome surprises. Unless stated, everything is included in our package, from a door to door pick up service, any admission fees, all the way to your complimentary goody bag.

Monday 29th April DepartingToday we depart Lincolnshire and head to our home for the next 5 days, taking comfort stops en-route.

Tuesday 30th April The Eden ProjectToday we take a trip to the Eden Project. This popular visitor attraction is dominated by two huge enclosures housing thousands of plant species, and each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The largest of the two biomes simulates a rainforest environment and the second a Mediterranean environment. The attraction also has an outside botanical garden which is home to many plants and wildlife native to Cornwall and the UK in general.

Wednesday 1st May Day at Leisure Today we enjoy a day at leisure in Torquay. Why not grab an ice cream and enjoy a stroll around the bay. You could take a mini 30 minute cruise to the fishing town of Brixham and enjoy some fish and chips, or you could stay on site and take advantage of the leisure facilities before settling down for your evening meal and entertainment.

Thursday 2nd May Plymouth & The Davenport Naval Heritage MuseumWe head to Plymouth today where come rain or shine you will find something for everyone among the city streets. During our visit, we head to The Davenport Naval Heritage Site and Visitor Centre for a guided tour comprising of a wide variety of historically significant items important to Davenport’s rich maritime heritage.

Friday 3rd May ReturningSadly our time here has come to an end, and it is time to return to Lincolnshire after breakfast, taking comfort stops en-route.

Monday 20th May DepartingWe depart Lincolnshire and head to our hotel The Royal Victoria Hotel, Llanberis, taking comfort stops en-route.

Tuesday 21st May Llandudno & The Great Orme TramwayToday enjoy a lovely drive via Colwyn Bay to the ‘queen of Welsh resorts’, Llandudno. Enjoy its beautiful Victorian architecture, Edwardian elegance, pier, shops and attractions. We then experience a ride to the top of the Great Orme on the beautifully restored tram climbing to 1500m and stopping at the Halfway Station to visit the exhibition. From the summit, there are outstanding views across Anglesey and the peaks of Snowdonia.

Wednesday 22nd May Snowdon Mountain Railway & The Llanberis Lake RailwayTodays’ excursion takes us 3,560ft up Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales. We enjoy a return ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway for a journey to ‘the rooftop of Wales’ and, weather permitting, we will have spectacular views. This afternoon, we take a ride on the narrow gauge Llanberis Lake Railway following the shores of Llyn Padarn through the Snowdonia National Park.

Thursday 23rd May Porthmadog & The Ffestiniog RailwayWe travel through the spectacular scenery of Snowdonia National Park as we journey to the seaside town of Porthmadog to board the Ffestiniog Railway. Sit back and relax as we enjoy the 13.5 mile, 700ft climb with dramatic views of mountains, lakes and waterfalls as we journey towards the slate quarry town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. From here we travel by coach to the village of Betws-y-Coed where we make a short stop before returning to our hotel.

Friday 24th May ReturningIt is now time to head back to Lincolnshire. Departing after breakfast we head for home, taking comfort stops en-route.

Saturday 10th August Bowood House & Lacock AbbeyThis morning, we visit Bowood House and Gardens enjoying tea and coffee on arrival before we explore its enchanting secret garden. Afterwards we receive a 1 hour guided tour of Lord & Lady Lansdowne’s private award winning walled garden before spending the afternoon at historic Lacock Abbey & Fox Talbot Museum, a popular TV & film location, famous for its picturesque streets and historic buildings.

Sunday 11th August Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway & Cotswold VillagesThis morning, we head to Cheltenham Race Course from where we enjoy a gentle 35 minute journey on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, through glorious Cotswold countryside to Toddington. In the afternoon, we visit the historic Cotswold villages of Broadway & Stow-on-the-Wold, before heading back to our hotel via the beautiful village of Burton-on-the-Water and the town of Burford.

Monday 12th August ReturningOur time here has come to an end, after breakfast we will make our way back to Lincolnshire, taking comfort stops en-route.

United by seven bridges across a spectacular riverscape, Newcastle and Gateshead form a single, diverse and extremely vibrant visitor destination. Our excursions this week take us to places such as, Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Newcastle, Holy Island & Banburgh Castle.

This modern hotel is located just to the north of Newcastle. There is an informal, brasserie style restaurant and a modern bar with comfortable seating. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym.

Sunday 1st September DepartingWe depart Lincolnshire this morning and head towards the Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park. Taking comfort stops en-route.

Monday 2nd September Alnwick Castle & GardensToday we make our way to the medieval market town of Alnwick which still retains many of its cobbled streets, narrow alleys and fine stone buildings. We visit Alnwick Castle, one of the finest medieval castles in England which famously features as ‘Hogwarts’ in the Harry Potter films.

Tuesday 3rd September NewcastleThis morning we have free time in Newcastle to explore the city’s many attractions. At midday we meet at the Quayside to embark on a 2 hour cruise, sailing to Ryton Willows Nature Reserve and Newburn Countryside Park, travelling under eleven of the Tyne’s bridges.

Wednesday 4th September Holy Island & Bamburgh CastleAfter breakfast we take a drive along the scenic heritage coastline and cross the tidal causeway to the Holy Island of Lindifarne, home to Lindisfarne Castle. We have time at leisure to explore and enjoy lunch before we visit Bamburgh Caste. Perched on rocks at the edge of the sea, the castle boasts magnificent views of the Farne Islands. We call at the pretty fishing village of Seahouses en route back to our hotel. (Please note, today is subject to tidal times).

Thursday 5th September ReturningAfter breakfast, we make our way back home to Lincolnshire, making comfort stops en-route.

Friday 18th October Henley-on-Thames with the optional extra of Henley River & Rowing Museum (£10 per person)Today we spend some free time in Henley-on-Thames, deemed one of the most beautiful towns in England. Henley’s riverside location, surrounded by a Chiltern landscape of wooded hills and green fields, lends itself to relaxation, long lunches and quirky shopping. We are also offering an optional extra of a visit to the Henley River & Rowing Museum, at a cost of £10 per person housing four permanent galleries dedicated to Rowing, Rivers, the work of British Artist John Piper, the history of Henley-on-Thames and a magical Wind in The Willows exhibition.

Saturday 19th October Excursion to Windsor & Windsor CastleWe spend today in Windsor, where we visit the Queens’ favourite weekend home, Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. In the afternoon, we have some free time in Windsor where you can explore some wonderful independent retailers accompanied by top high street brands.

Sunday 20th October Hampton Court Palace & Kingston Upon ThamesToday, we discover the magnificence of Henry VIII’s favourite royal residence, Hampton Court Palace. There are many things to see including Henry VIII’s Great Hall – England’s last and greatest medieval hall – the beautiful Chapel Royal, Henry VIII’s kitchens, William III’s apartments, the beautiful Hampton Court Gardens and the only surviving royal Chocolate kitchens, now open to the public for the first time in almost 300 years! In the afternoon, we get to spend some free time in Kingston upon Thames.

Monday 21st October ReturningAfter breakfast, it is time to embark on our journey back to Lincolnshire, taking comfort stops en-route.

We have an exciting itinerary for you here in the Isle of Wight, the largest and second-most populated Island in Britain. We will get the opportunity to visit Queen Victoria’s holiday home, Osbourne House, The Needles, Ventnor Botanical Gardens and the town of Ryde.

The Royal Esplanade is a beautiful, stylish and elegant Victorian Grade II listed building that has been lovingly and sympathetically restored by its current owners, and is perfectly situated on Ryde Esplanade.

Monday 11th November DepartingWe depart Lincolnshire this morning and head towards the Isle of Wight for our short break, taking comfort stops en-route.

Tuesday 12th November Osbourne HouseToday, we visit Osbourne House. “It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot” said Queen Victoria of Osbourne House, her palatial holiday home on the Isle of Wight, Visit Victoria and Albert’s private apartments, their bathing beach and children’s play-cottage for an intimate glimpse of royal family life.

Wednesday 13th November The Needles and Ventnor Botanic GardenThis morning we are visiting The Needles. One of the most photographed groups of rocks in the world. This row of three distinctive Chalk stacks features in all the classic views of the island, a truly unforgettable image. Whilst here, we get to experience glass blowing at Alum Bay Glass and a Sweet Factory Demonstration at the Isle of Wight Sweet Manufactory famous for its hard boiled sweets in every imaginable flavour. This afternoon we visit Ventnor Botanic Garden where we can enjoy subtropical and exotic plant collections.

Thursday 14th November Free Time in RydeWe enjoy some free time in Ryde today, the largest town on the Isle of Wight, where it is often referred to as ‘The Gateway to the Island’. In addition to an expanse of sandy beaches which stretch right along the town, Ryde has a great selection of boutique shops, museums and galleries. We’re offering an optional excursion to Amazon World Zoo Park for only £12.00 per person, a unique attraction aimed at rainforest and animal conservation housing of the worlds’ most unusual and endangered creatures.

Friday 15th November DepartureSadly, our time here is over, so after breakfast we will make the journey back to Lincolnshire, making comfort stops en-route.

Once on dry land, we take a short walk to The World of Beatrix Potter where we can enjoy a self-guided tour of the exhibition and gardens. You can experience Jemima Puddle-ducks woodland glade and Mr Tod’s underground home, The Peter Rabbit Garden and much more, before heading back to our hotel to celebrate Christmas Day with Christmas Dinner, festive music, cheer and entertainment!

Wednesday 27th November Liverpool Today we spend some free time in Liverpool. Why not visit The Cavern Club, the most famous club in the world or be transported on an incredible immersive journey as The Beatles Story is told? You may just want to browse the city’s streets? If this is not your scene, we are offering an optional extra excursion to Knowsley Safari Park at a cost of £15.00 per person. We’re joined by our very own private tour guide who offers a fascinating insight into the animals we see. Upon returning to our hotel we enjoy more festive entertainment as we celebrate Boxing Day!

Thursday 28th November Blackpool & Fleetwood Market Today you have a choice! You can either spend the day at leisure in Blackpool, or join the coach to Fleetwood Market for a few hours in the morning. With over 150 indoor and outdoor stalls it’s a true shoppers’ paradise and you’ll find a variety of stalls including food, clothing and household goods. We then head back to the hotel to party and see the New Year in!

Tuesday 24th December Sterling Castle & The Battle of Bannockburn ExperienceAfter breakfast we head to Sterling Castle, one of the most important castles in Scotland. After lunch we can enjoy The Battle of Bannockburn Experience. As part of the new Bannockburn experience, a virtual environment immerses visitors in a compelling and realistic medieval battle focusing on the brutal mechanics of war. We then return back to the hotel for afternoon tea and Christmas cake. After a freshen up we can then enjoy a 3 course evening followed by a Christmas Quiz. Mulled wine and Mince pies will be offered at midnight, and those wishing to, can attend local church services.

Wednesday 25th December Christmas DayThe big day has arrived! Enjoy a 3 course Christmas day lunch with a glass of fizz. Santa will pay a visit, and hand out presents to those of you who have made ‘Santa’s nice’ list! Later in the day enjoy afternoon tea & Christmas cake. We shall inform you of your collection time and send you your luggage labels no less than 2 weeks prior to departure. We ask you to be punctual with your collection times and have your suitcases ready to be loaded into your transfer vehicle to avoid any delay to stated departure times.

Itineraries: We reserve the right to alter holiday itineraries due to valid unforeseen circumstances and appreciate your understanding on this matter. Further details on itineraries are available on request for passengers with restricted mobility. All admission fees are included unless stated otherwise. No refunds are available if passengers are unable or unwilling to take part in the included holiday itineraries.

Booking Procedure & Payment: Provisional bookings can be made by phone or in person at our Mablethorpe booking office. We shall hold your reservation for 10 working days until the deposit of £40.00 is received. The total balance of the holiday must be paid 8 weeks prior to departure. If no deposit is received then we reserve the right to release the provisional booking. Upon receipt of deposit we shall send you a booking confirmation with the full details of your reservation, if incorrect please advise as soon as possible. You will also be provided with a date to which the full balance must be paid. If the balance is not paid by the date stated then we have the right to regard the booking as cancelled. We accept payment by cash, cheque or credit/debit card.

Passports: For our European holidays a full valid UK passport is required. The name on the passport must match that of the person travelling and the name stated on the travel documents. The passport must also be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the holiday return date.

Payment protection insurance: Grayscroft include this protection within the price of all our holidays. This offer covers against all payments made in the unlikely event that Grayscroft cannot provide the booking due to insolvency.

Travel Insurance: We strongly advise you to purchase separate travel insurance as soon as you have booked, to cover you for the duration of your holiday. This will usually also cover your payments should you need to cancel, due to unforeseen circumstances. Please see our cancelation policy below.

Special Requests: At the time of booking please inform us of any special requirements/requests you may have. We shall do our best to ensure they are met however we cannot make any guarantees. Please note certain requests such as sea view rooms may incur an additional supplement.

Hotel & Room Facilities: Grayscoft Coaches provides information on hotel facilities in good faith, however we cannot be held responsible if such facilities are not available throughout the period of your stay. Lifts to all floors are available when stated, most hotels have lifts to selected rooms. If ground floor rooms or rooms adapted for disabled use are required, this request must be made at time of booking.

Changes to your holiday: If there are any changes to the published details of your holiday we shall inform you as quickly as possible. If there is any alteration to price we accept to absorb up to 2% of any increased costs, however we reserve the right to pass on additional charges to our customers.

Cancellation by Company: All holidays run to sufficient bookings, if in the unfortunate event a cancellation occurs, you shall be informed no less than 4 weeks prior to departure. Customers have the right to choose either a full cash refund or travel vouchers which can be used to purchase future trips.

Cancellation by Customer: In the unfortunate event you have to cancel your holiday with us, the following cancellation charges apply:Prior to 42 days before departure £40 per person After 42 days before departure No refunds to be given

Bus Passes: Bus passes are not accepted on any holidays.

Departure Times: Neither responsibility, nor claim will be entertained by Grayscroft for passengers who arrive late at any departure points.

Seat Belts: For safety reasons, please use the safety belts provided onthe coach.

Leaving the Coach: Please do not leave the coach on any of our trips except at refreshment stops or at the excursion/holiday venue.

Children: For safety reasons, unless accompanied by an adult, children under 15 years of age cannot be carried on excursions or holidays.

Conduct of Passengers: The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle. Any passengers who’s conduct is in breach of statutory regulations will be removed on the drivers authority. For Private Hires, the hirer/party leader will be held responsible for all damages, passenger conduct and group attendance at time of departure from all venues.

Scooters and wheelchairs: We aim to assist with the handling of wheelchairs as far as possible, however we can only guarantee the handling of lightweight, foldable wheelchairs. Electric wheelchairs will be considered providing they are lightweight and collaapsible. Passengers are responsible for their own wheelchairs and must be available to advise and assist the driver with the assembly/disassembly. It is also the passenger’s responsibility to advise us of their intention to take the wheelchair with reasonable notice and ensure the suitability of their holiday for wheelchairs.

Luggage: Our policy is to assist with passenger luggage handling. We ask that on all holidays passengers only bring one medium sized suitcase per person weighing 15kg maximum plus one small piece of hand luggage.

Smoking: All coaches operate a strict no smoking policy at all times.

Alcohol: Under no circumstances may alcoholic drinks be carried or consumed on the vehicle without the express permission of the company.

Mobile Phones: All mobile phones must be muted whilst the coach is in motion to avoid distraction for the driver and for the consideration of fellow passengers.

Punctuality/conduct: Although our aim is to provide you with the maximum freedom possible on your holiday, we do have to insist on acceptable standards of behaviour that do not offend or cause inconvenience to other passengers. We also ask our passengers to be punctual with meeting times and departure times. In extreme circumstances we reserve the right to refuse admittance or re-admittance to passengers whose conduct falls below the acceptable standards.

Personal Entertainment Devices: For the consideration of fellow passengers and to avoid distraction for the driver, we kindly ask that any personal entertainment devices are to be operated with headphones to a suitable volume level.

Vehicle Variation: We reserve the right to alter the size or specification of the coach subject to the number of bookings.

Routes: All routes and refreshment stops are selected at the company/driver’s discretion.

Drivers Hours/Rest Periods: The driving hours and rest periods are strictly controlled and current regulations MUST be complied with.

Personal Property: We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property, however, lost property that is handed in can be claimed from our Mablethorpe booking office.

Complaints: All complaints may be received in writing by our Mablethorpe booking office. All complaints will be acknowledged with the aim of being resolved within 28 days of the complaint being made. On Holiday Tours, any complaints hotel related must be resolved with the hotel in question during the period of stay.

Breakdown/Delay: Grayscroft Coaches gives advice on journey times in good faith but does not guarantee the completion of a journey at a specific time. In the event of a breakdown, we aim to keep the delay to an absolute minimum.

Legal: This contract shall be governed by construed and interpreted in accordance with English Law. Should any part of it be unenforceable or inapplicable, this does not detract from the validity of the remainder of the contract.

Itineraries: We reserve the right to alter the day and timing of itineraries stated in this brochure however you will be informed of any such changes upon departure.
