Day to day skilled Engineers go through various enhanced tests to meet the needs of our valued cus-tomers. In order to meet the highest quality standards, all of the products are executed with stringent test measures. In order to achieve the highest level of performance, various stages of aerodynamic tests are performed in our own HJC wind tunnel test lab in parallel with live testing situations. Comport and fitting is an integral part of HJC’s hel-mets, and HJC helmets are designed and engineered around the actual human laser scanned profiles for precision fitting. Beyond the measures, HJC helmets are tested through extremity of International Test Standards for safety and protection. Above the ex-pectations, HJC in-house test labs are facilitated with advanced test equipment to achieve optimal level of aerodynamics, safety and performance.

Aerodynamic Design

Coming from MotoGP race-helmet design experience, HJC designers and engineers become experts in aerodynamics and wind ventilated helmets. In order to balance the shapes and forms to be in harmony with the speed and resistance, one must possess years of understanding and knowledge about the characteristics of airflow. With the years of her-itage in making of helmets, the HJC engineered products make the standing differences in aerodynamics amongst the standards.

Wind Tunnel Test Lab

HJC helmets are constantly tested in both laboratory as well as in “real” life for highest quality standards. HJC is only one of very few helmet companies who are facilitated with its own state of the art wind tunnel testing laboratory to test the aerodynamics, ventilation, noise, and more. Across from technical adaptation of motorcycle race tech-nology to high-end road cycle helmets, HJC wind tunnel test lab measures the constant force within the riding condition.


OPTIMAL AERO dyNAMICS

Advanced Ventilation System

In order to achieve the maximum ventilation results, technical adaptation of Bernoulli’s principle is adapted to aerodynamic enhanced models. In motion, the speed of surface flow rate in general increases towards the rear progres-sion. Through the pressure differences, cool air from the frontal intake is exhausted through the rear vent with internal heat dissipation, which gives rider optimum ventilated riding results.

Bernoulli’s Principle

1. Fluid energy preservation principle states that amount energy of fluid’s loca-tion energy, motion energy, and pressure energy are constant.

2. If the fluid motion increases the pressure will decrease, therefore if the sectional area where fluid passes gets smaller, the fluid motion speed will increase and the pressure will decrease.

HJC helmets are designed and engi-neered through wind tunnel test verifica-tion analysis. From all perspective, when in riding, test results foreshows that Furion exhaust ventilation outperforms all our other competitors.

Optimum Drag Force

HJC helmets are designed and engineered to have optimal drag force through wind tunnel testing. In comparison to our competitor’s models, HJC Furion measures the lowest drag force in drag force testing. The results of drag force testing have demonstrated that with HJC Furion you can save 7% more energy than the competitor’s models.

In-Mold Construction

In-Mold Construction is method of binding the EPS together with the outer polycarbon-ate shell to have more conformed strength in structure. By binding the shell and EPS together helps protection with compact rein-forcement and gives clean finish appeal to the product.

Polygiene

All helmets are integrated with special Poly-giene Silver Salt (Silver Chloride) particles. Polygiene is an antimicrobial property, and this natural ingredient has the sufficient ability to eliminate bacteria and fungi growth. Polygiene prevents the growth of odor-causing bacteria and fungi at the source, permanently. Pro-longed odor control is possible as the natural elements which are technically integrated into the fabric and will not wash out.

Embedded within the EPS is the engineered skeletal frame that is designed to bind the structure of the helmet together while at possible impact. Skeletal frame is not only to holds the helmet together while impact but also works as added impact support reinforce-ment making the helmet more rigid.

Advanced Air Channel System

Air channel is an optimal air passage that are shaped and designed within the inner surface of the helmet for maximum internal airflow. Depending on the riders speed, certain amount of air will travel inside the helmet by the frontal intake vent and through the inner air passage and out to exhaust vent. Optimal circulation of the air through the air channel helps to cool the head while in heated riding condition.

We give special attention to safety of riders during afterhours. Therefore we have applied highly visible reflective adhesives on the helmet. Since the helmet stands considerably high above the road, it is a good way to emit awareness with reflectivity.

Visor helps to keep the sunlight off of your eyes so that you can ride without visual disruptions.

Bug Net

Webbed netting is installed on the air ventilated areas to prevent flying insects or foreign materials from entering into the helmet.
