The Motherlode logroll: Frehl Linked ut Never Final KJ Dell'Antonia April 26, 2013 12:32 pm Weeks ago, I set out to update the Motherlode blogroll. I want to read blogs, I said — the kind of blogs I used to read, funny and honest and compelling. And oh, blogs appeared. Lest anyone think blogging is on the wane, I can assure you that it’s not. Especially if you’re one of a subset of parents who are rare in individual communities but more numerous online, there is a blogging network out there for you, and fantastic bloggers creating community around everything from single moms and money to parenting children with disabilities to postpartum depression. The blogs, I admit, appeared in such numbers that I was overwhelmed. Nick Bhasin’s Daddy’s Little Miracle is funny, honest and much loved by readers here. Many readers pointed me to the National Diaper Bank’s Joanne Goldblum’s Huffington Post blog for its noholdsbarred perspective on parenting and poverty. I did find favorites — some new, and some I had already known. Jane Roper’s blog, Jane’s Calamity, began when she was pregnant with her twin daughters. For five years, she blogged for Babble about life with twins, but she returned to what she calls “noncommercial turf” in 2012, when her daughter
