Known Problems
Manually Removing Content after Uninstallation
Although the uninstallation scripts removes most existing UCP Advisor
content from the most recent installation, it does not remove all of
the content. To ensure all content from the previous version of UCP
Advisor is not present, you need to manually remove the content that
the uninstallation script does not take out. To manually remove this content, perform the following steps:
1. Log into vCenter Server Appliance (VCSA) using the root
credential.
2. Run the following two commands to remove content that the
uninstallation script has not taken out:

RN-92UCP099-01 December 2016
rm -rf /etc/vmware/vsphere-client/vc- packages/vsphere-client-serenity/ com.hitachi.ucp.advisor-*
rm -rf /etc/vmware/vsphere -client/cmCatalog/com.vmware.ciscom.hitachi .ucp.advisor.zip
3. Browse to the following path:
https://<VCSA_IP_Address>/mob
4. Select hitachi.ucp.advisor extension and unregister the
extension.
5. Go to VCSA again and run the following command to restart the
Web Client service:
service web-client restart
You have removed the content that the uninstallation script could
take out.
The following list details other known issues in the product.
The UCP Advisor tasks do not display under My Tasks under
Recent tasks.
Workaround: Click Global Refresh to refresh My Tasks.
A VLAN name with more than 14 characters is truncated,
displaying the asterisk (*) character.
When you select any device type to add, only a Network device is added.
Cause: The check on the network type is performed only after a
device is added. The display value is correct once the software
adds the device.

When scheduling days for a backup, make sure to schedule
only consecutive days. If you create a backup for non-
consecutive days (for example, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday), the backup will occur continuously every 15 minutes until the
first non-consecutive day (in this case, Thursday).
HiSupport.bat does not collect all log files.
Workaround: To collect all logs use the Log Bundle feature.
The Device Status display incorrectly does not indicate an
unreachable status when a device is unreachable.
While UCP Advisor supports the VMware vSphere Web Client
on Chrome version 54, a recent version, some features might
not work properly on later versions.
The Create command device operation may fail from Toolbox
when proxy settings are enabled.
Workaround: Enable bypass proxy server for the local
addresses option in the proxy settings.
