History In 1978, Ghandourah Trading Est.

came into establishment as a franchise of Schneider Electric in Panel Switchgear manufacture as well as trading of electrical materials from top-notch international suppliers, while also offering the most appropriate solutions customized for the Saudi Market. The company rapidly began to evolve and continually upgrade itself over the years, expanding its list of services and range of products, as well as undertaking various projects, from the small-scale to the large-scale (residential, industrial, palaces, hospitals, government and commercial buildings, universities, hotels, banks, towers, shopping complexes, corporations, and many, many more). To meet market needs it started a small factory by the name of “Ghandourah Factory” specialized in low voltage panels & with the growth of the demand it changes this small factory to larger scale by the name of “Jeddah Panel Board Factory”. With its expansion, sister companies have been established in order to organize the various electrical business activities and services provided by

1989 (focusing on retail of electrical

equipments) and Jeddah Panel Board

Factory in 1996 (specializing in low

voltage panel manufacture and providing solutions). Our two newest

sister companies, established in 2010

Union Electric, (focus solely in the distribution of electrical materials & wiring Accessories) & “Nabil Metal Industries Factory” which comes from Ghandourah & JPBF experience in Electrical Metal Industry to serve our companies and the market. Our sales turn over has always been on an

upward trend, reaching its peak in 2010

at approximately 100 Million Saudi

Riyals. Our total stock value in our main warehouse in Jeddah has peaked over 75 million Saudi Riyals, additional to

that stock which in our 13 showrooms

over the kingdom to serve the market & our customers everywhere,

furthermore, we have 2 main stores in

Solutions List

1) MDP PANEL (MAIN DISTRIBUTION PANEL)

Main Low voltage with totally type tested assembly comply with IEC 61439-182 up to 6300A. Main Low voltage Panel, MDP With single, multiple incomers, bus couplers with proper interlocking. Required protection, fault Indications,

interlocking is provided. Various design are offered in MDP like

top, middle, bottom horizontal bus chamber panel with copper bus bars, Top/ bottom/ front/ rear cable termination, combinations of APFC Part with MDP.

Required facilities like, Cut-off of nonessential feeders at the event of failure of mains power.

Panel with provision to connect bus duct at main incomer side.

2) ATS PANEL (AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH)

Used to switch an electric load back and forth between a primary source such as a generator utility and secondary source.

3) SYNCHRONIZING PANEL

Used to achieve the parallel operation between Gen sets. Fully automatic synchronizing panels operated by

microprocessor based relays. Auto synchronizing, Manual synchronizing, Auto load sharing,

Active & Reactive power management with protection such as U/ V, O/V, E/F, O/C IDMT, Reverse power, etc.

Load Balance metering such as Ammeter, Voltmeter, KW, PF, KWH, Double Frequency Meter & Synchroscope, etc.

4) MCC PANEL (MOTOR CONTROL CENTRE)

Used started control for all types of motors. Duly wired with ACB/ MCCB/SFU/DOL/STAR- DELTA/ATS starters. Various designs provided like single/double front, fixed

type, with marshaling terminations. Cubicle type extension on each side. Require Control voltage facilities with control. All starters are provided with type 2 co-ordination

where required. Separate busbar chamber for vertical droppers. Can be operated by ON/OFF remote.

5) APFC PANEL (AUTOMATIC POWER FACTOR CORRECTION)

Used to improve and modify the efficiency of the power. APFC Panel with Microprocessor based relay for controlling power factor within

required values. RTPFC Panels using Thyristor based capacitor switching. Full ventilation type panel Easy Maintenance and easily removable capacitor. Use of capacitive duty contactors Always maintain 0.99PF High-speed power factor correction Provision of detuned reactors for reliable operation in presence

of harmonics.

Quality Control Our clients are confident in the quality of our manufactured panels at JPBF; our rigorous factory testing procedures ensure that every assembly unit is functioning at an optimum level before customers receive their product. Our Quality Control Policy is up to par with European standards, complying with IEC standards and the standards of Schneider Electric.

Testing Process At JPBF

1) Insulation Resistance Test: Test is performed using a 1000V

megger of 1000 Mega Ω range on the Insulation testing instrument, Insulation resistance is checked between phases, between phases and earth/enclosure, and between neutral and earth.

2) Secondary Injection Tests: Time delay characteristic is tested

by simulation an overload or a fault condition. Test results are then measured and recorded depending on ambient conditions, and then the test data is compared with manufacture’s data.

3) Dielectric Test: Dielectric test is conducted by applying 2.5kV

through the power circuit of the panel for 1 minute.

4) Operational Test: The required voltage is run through the panel

test bench machine to ensure that it means the operational requirements.

5) Continuity Test: A Multi-meter measures the power after and

before the protection device.
