INGRESS – AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENTS, DOOR ASSEMBLIES, PRESS PARTS,

ROLL-FORMED PLASTIC MOULDINGS AND WEATHER STRIPS

Ingress Corporation Berhad, a leading investment holding company in Malaysia, is also an

established automotive component manufacturer and a contractor in the power and utility

industries.

The company manufactures automotive door assemblies (door-in-white), medium-to- high

tonnage press parts, automotive components, roll-formed plastic mouldings and weatherstrips.

The company also supplies roll-formed metal automotive door sash (door frame) and

accessories.

MOULDING COMPONENTS

Ingress Group is equipped with the most advanced technologies in the design and manufacture of

roll-formed co-extruded moulding components and weatherstrips for the automotive industry.

The co-extruded moulding components are used to seal around windows, doors and other gaps or

joints on the vehicle’s interiors and exteriors.

The company manufactures a wide range of plastic co-extruded moulding components that

include beltline mouldings, weatherstrips, roof pillar drip moulding components and window

mouldings in compliance with international standards and specifications.

DOOR SASH

Ingress manufactures a wide range of international standard roll-formed metal automotive door

sash and related components. The door sash frame is a steel assembly within the car door system

that supports the window. The company utilises roll-forming technology and robotic plasma

welding technology to ensure that the product is strong, durable yet lightweight with an attractive

sleek finish.

AUTOMOTIVE DOOR ASSEMBLIES (DOOR-IN-WHITE)

The company specializes in the manufacture of complete door-in-white automotive door

assemblies and other door related products for the automotive car components market. We utilize

Page 11: History

high-level automated press lines complete with robotic transfer mechanism and hemming

machinery to produce the door-in-white. The door-in-white is a complete door assembly unit

consisting of outer and inner door panel and door sash.

BELLOWS

Ingress manufactures a wide range of bellows (also known as flex joint), which absorb engine

vibrations in medium and upper level passenger cars and commercial vehicles including pickups

with diesel engines. The bellows consist of a roll-formed steel tube surrounded by braided steel

and is employed only when vibration suppression is essential.

IMPACT SYSTEM

Trapezoidal impact beam systems produced at Ingress are highly acclaimed in the automotive

market. The trapezoidal impact beam systems are produced using cutting edge roll forming

technology.

The trapezoidal impact beams produced using high tensile steel offer greater safety for different

types of vehicles. Co-developed with Lotus Engineering Co., the trapezoidal and tubular impact

beam  functions as an active collision impact protector thus providing enhanced safety for

occupants.

HEAT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Ingress manufacturers state-of-the-art Panel Heat Protector (Heatshield) heat management

system to enhance overall comfort of the passengers. The Panel Heat Protector (Heatshield) heat

management systems are made with amalgamation of multilayer aluminium thus providing

effective yet lightweight heat management solutions for vehicles.

QUALITY

Ingress Corporation utilises advanced technology, scientific management techniques and quality

control systems of ISO 9000, QS 9000, ISO 14001, TS 16949 and OHSAS 18001 certification

and 5S accreditation. A company within the Group is undergoing the Toyota Production System

Page 12: History

(TPS) module. The group also has undergone a five-year TQM program promoted by the Japan

Standards Association (JSA) in collaboration with the National Productivity Centre.

Ignition coil

In modern systems, ignition is electronically controlled. Much smaller coils are used with one

coil for each spark plug or one coil serving two spark plugs (for example two coils in a four-

cylinder engine, or three coils in a six-cylinder engine). A large ignition coil puts out about 20

kV, and a small one such as from a lawn mower puts out about 15 kV. These coils may be

remotely mounted or they may be placed on top of the spark plug (coil-on-plug or Direct

Ignition). Where one coil serves two spark plugs (in two cylinders), it is through the "wasted

spark" system. In this arrangement the coil generates two sparks per cycle to both cylinders. The

fuel in the cylinder that is nearing the end of its compression stroke is ignited, whereas the spark

in its companion that is nearing the end of its exhaust stroke has no effect. The wasted spark

system is more reliable than a single coil system with a distributor and less expensive than coil-

on-plug. Where coils are individually applied per cylinder, they may all be contained in a single

molded block with multiple high-tension terminals. This is commonly called a coil-pack. A bad

coil pack may cause a misfire, bad fuel consumption or loss of power.

Product Description

GBP-300AA Erect Image 300 Digital Measuring Projector

Characteristics

The transmission illumination with two high-and-low shifts is adopted to fit in with the

measurement demand of different work pieces.

With a non-spherical collector lighting system, the visual field of the projector screen would be

all the more bright and homogeneous; thus reducing measurement errors and further securing the

accuracy.

Imported Phillips long-life halogen tungsten lamps are adopted to satisfy the requirement of

long-time uses of the projector.

With axial flow blower fans, the bilateral heat radiation can provide super-strong radiating

power.

Has a DS401SM multi-function digital meter and micro-printer.

Microscope

A microscope (from the Greek: μικρός, mikrós, "small" and σκοπεῖν, skopeîn, "to look" or

"see") is an instrument used to see objects that are too small for the naked eye. The science of

investigating small objects using such an instrument is called microscopy. Microscopic means

invisible to the eye unless aided by a microscope.

There are many types of microscopes, the most common and first to be invented is the optical

microscope which uses light to image the sample. Other major types of microscopes are the

electron microscope (both the transmission electron microscope and the scanning electron

microscope) and the various types of scanning probe microscope.

Types

Types of microscopes

Microscopes can be separated into several different classes. One grouping is based on what

interacts with the sample to generate the image, i.e., light or photons(optical microscopes),

electrons (electron microscopes) or a probe (scanning probe microscopes). Alternatively,

microscopes can be classed on whether they analyse the sample via a scanning point (confocal

optical microscopes, scanning electron microscopes and scanning probe microscopes) or analyse

the sample all at once (wide field optical microscope and transmission electron microscopes).

Page 17: History

Wide field optical microscopes and transmission electron microscopes use the theory of lenses

(optics for light microscopes and electromagnet lenses for electron microscopes) in order to

magnify the image generated by the passage of a wave transmitted through the sample, or

reflected by the sample. The waves used are electromagnetic (in optical microscopes) or electron

beams (in electron microscopes). Resolution in these microscopes is limited by the wavelength

of the radiation used to image the sample, where shorter wavelengths allow for a higher

resolution.

Injection Molding Machine

Plastic Injection Moulding Machine

In these Injection Moulding Machines thermoplastics dominate, but can also  be used for thermo

sets, rubbers, polymer foams. Injection Moulding Machine can make intricate shapes. Typical

part sizes of Injection Moulding Machine are 60-1000g. The parts of our Injection Moulding

Machine generally do not require finishing. A wide variety of surface finishes and embosses can

easily be incorporated into the die design. To reduce costs, several parts of Injection Moulding

Machine are often molded together on a "tree-like" structure. The cycle time of the Injection

Moulding Machine is limited by solidification time. The Production rates required are readily

achievable by using our Injection Moulding Machine. Our Injection Moulding Machine is very

economical to use.
