It's still holiday "go time." So come pick up your His & Her Fitness holiday gift your own designer food journal and then use it! Yes, we want to know what you eat so we can train you to match it. (FYI... if you eat like a marathon runner, you're going to have to train like one!) So over the holidays really try to just have a plate... no "little bits." Those little bits end up being wasted calories... And you know this stopping that hidden fat is called portion control. Also remember to weight train at least 2x/week (if not 3x) to keep muscle tone and burn more fat. Plus keep up with your creative cardio. Write it all down in your food journal to help keep on track. Here are some tips for your holiday events: 1) Wear tight clothes 2) Bring something that seems unhealthy, but make it healthy! Ex. http://hisandherfitness.net/recipesBBCPinwheels.asp 3) Eat just one plate of food no little bits or small bites. 4) Schedule your workout and cardio and have your trainer or a friend keep you accountable. 5) Take measurements every week and set goals for what's ahead! Build those healthy habits now and stay strong. No excuses! You have a personal training staff that is here to help you learn how to make it easy and stay successful. When eating any major meal, itis extremely important toregulate portion size. Usesmaller plates and bowlsbecause you are likely to eatmore food if you eat off of largeplates and bowls. Using smallerbowls and plates is a great wayto control your food portions...and a great way to trick yourstomach!

On Sunday, Dec. 7 Christina Larsondiscussed ways to "keep the fat off duringthe holidays" on the weekend edition of FOX4 News. She talked about the benefits ofcardio after a "cheat meal;" hydration andwhy to eat five small meals a day. Thomas Finholm IIIhttp://www.hisandherfitness.net/trainer_17.asp?t=TomFinholmIII

I've been at His & Her Fitness for four years now and have seenmany positive changes. Christina Larson does a great job in leadingthe business and our trainers do a terrific job working with theirclients. But it's the clients that make it all worthwhile. Over theyears, I have seen our clients establish high reaching goals andthen conquer those goals. Their efforts not only satisfy themselves, but they encourage others to work harder, too. And through thesetremendous efforts, we all improve ourselves and make ourselveshealthier and stronger.

The staff at H&H places its clients first, and by doing so, we makeourselves better. I have really enjoyed working at H&H and lookforward to a healthy and prosperous 2015 for all H&H clients andteam members.

It's awesome to know that I am making strides and to have othersrecognize that, too. I feel like I have always been a strong contributor, butas I have taken on more responsibility and continued to maintain the highstandards expected at H&H, it feels like I have become a more integralpart of His & Her Fitness.

It's stiff competition with so many talented people on our team, so I acceptthis award humbly and with regard for how much work is still to be done.
