Disclaimer
The title Hinduism accepts Allah should not be
misunderstood as accepting Islam, which is a
religion. Here the title is used considering Allah as
the same one supreme God. Very few translations
of the verses from the ancient scriptures have been
made and they are interpretations and opinion of the
author. Readers are advised to read the original
scriptures and make their own judgment when in
doubt.

Dedication
This book is dedicated to Adi Shankara whom I
admire, and considered as Guru while joining the
Dasnami Sanyas Samaj. While just a boy he not
only had scholarly knowledge of the Vedas but was
capable of putting his knowledge to practice. The
people today who use his name and try to divide on
religious lines should know that this greatest Hindu
Saint of recent time, had accepted all the small and
big religions that existed in the Indian sub
continent; and they in turn accepted him. He could
merge many religions into Hinduism because he
knew and agreed that they are leading to the same.
And the relation with some other major religion like
Buddhism was settled amicably by accepting
Buddha as an incarnation of the God. When God is
only one, then why fight with his name.

Acknowledgement
I thank the people who supported me during the
period I was attached to Dasnami Sanyas Samaj.
Digambar Nagasanyasy Satyanarayan Puri from
Mehsana in Gujarat had guided me into Sri
Niranjani Dasnami Sanyas Akhada in Haridwar
when he met me at Kedarnath. The person whom I
admire in the Naga Sanyasy Samaj is Digambar
Nagasanyasy Ramachandra Puri of Dariyav madi
whom I consider as among the very few pure
sanyasy worth respecting in the current period. He
also shared the opinion that the supreme resides
within us and did not display any hatred towards
other religion and was the only one in the Samaj
from whom I could hear that all religions are only
different path to the same. And finally my thanks to
the people who supported me during my period of
near isolation while outside Haridwar. Mahant
Omanand Giri the head of Nilkant Mahadev temple, ashram and Sanskrit school in Asarwa area of
Ahmadabad, and Digambar Durga Puri from
Udampur in Jammu and Kashmir.

About The Author
Sadhu Ratan Puri had been a Sadhu attached to
Dariyav madi of Sri Niranjani Naga sanyasy
Akhada in Haridwar. His maiden name is Rahul R
W. His qualifications include a post graduation in
banking and a qualified membership in Professional
Risk Manager’s International Association. He is a
believer in single supreme God in nirakar that is
without any particular form or attributes. Some
readers may initially feel the author is trying to tilt
towards another religion by speaking about formless
God. No; but formless God is the truth and is
substantiated in this book. The author is a firm
supporter and believer of Advaita Vedanta and
personally took the path of material sacrifice to seek
and experience this knowledge.
The author feels such a book is necessary
seeing many places of worship being
commercialized. It started with a few rich who are willing to pay for special treatment and ticket in
places of worship but today the new generation
employees too have added to the band wagon of
ticket buying worshippers. Some most reputed
jyotir linga temples and even the greatest Vishnu
temples sell tickets as if they are a multiplex theatre.
Do you know when one person with ticket is
allowed fast entry to watch the idol; it is naturally
by delaying the poor who stands without a ticket. It
is also very pity and shameful that we can see a
builder can simply construct a temple structure on

the roadside and prevent his illegal building behind
from being demolished. Fools are the people who
think god immediately goes and sits in inside a
temple looking structure on the roadside built by an
unscrupulous builder with a bad intend. The real
god is within you and everywhere.
The physical structures are part of the illusion
created by him. Let us worship in temples only if
they are built with pure intentions and run without
commercial objective with equal treatment to all.
The author feels pity that commercialization of
Hindu places of worship has reached the most
ancient and purest temples in the Himalayas and
also this commercialization has encompassed the
once pure Naga sanyasy sect of which this author
had been a part earlier. We got out Hindu places of
worship from the hands of a particular upper caste
but now it looks like it is going into the hands of
business class.
So he encourages worship of pure form less or
nirakar all encompassing God who is everywhere
and you can worship from anywhere. A section of
people who make their living by running a place of
worship as a business may not find this book
suitable but this is the truth and readers will be
convinced.

About The Book
This book in does not put any religion in the
negative but only convincingly puts forward an
argument that in Hinduism also God is formless.
Many of you are not aware that idol worship in
Hinduism was no there in the beginning when the
religion began and it was added later by several
sages for reasons I have given below. Personally I
believe the whole system of current worship in
Hinduism would have been different if people had
the capability to understand and the subject of
Advaita Vedanta.
The knowledge of which is above all other
Vedas. In Hinduism knowledge of Vedas is not the
highest knowledge, but the highest knowledge is the
knowledge of self, as knowledge about self is the
only way we can know about the Supreme.
Understanding that Hinduism got drifted away from
the original worship of formless god to idol worship is very easy. Just look at Saint Sai Baba of Shirdi
who lived a simple life just a century ago and is
today worshipped by millions of Hindus with lot of
temples dedicated to him.
This is an example of how Hinduism got
drifted away over the thousands of years it existed,
from the original concept of formless one supreme
God. We will also have a detailed explanation of
energy, which in Hinduism was the other half of
God, also created by him and known as goddesses
or Shakti. The subject of energy has been explained

in detail in the book because the author states if
anything cannot be classified as energy then it is
only the one and only one supreme God. The two
combined and give us all the illusion which is the
world we see and believe.
There is a chapter which compares science as
just another religion and searching for something
within the illusion. Hinduisms ancient concept
about superior living beings in another time zone in
a bigger world around which our entire solar system
rotates also gives a hint for those searching alien
life, but definitely this too is not mentioned to be in
human or animal forms that should be visible to our
eyes. There are verses in the Vedas and in
Bhagavad Gita too which clearly points toward an
all encompassing formless God.

Hinduism as I interpreted
I understood original Hinduism describes God as
“He is one, the eternal, absolute and he neither
begets nor is born, nor is there to him any
equivalent”. If these words have similarity to another
major religion and it is true because God is only one.
In Vishnu Purana we find Lord Vishnu is
praised immensely and Lord Shiva is treated as
secondary. But if you look at Shiva Purana, Lord
Shiva is immensely praised and the same goes with
Devi Bhagavata. This was done to create in the
aspirant an intense unquestionable faith in his
favorite deity. Because in Hinduism we may worship
the same God in any form that we believe. If I have
mentioned God as him then that should not be taken
as a masculine character but used only because in
Hinduism energy is considered in feminine form. We
all know that energy does not physically look like a
female even though it is considered as feminine by
religious principles.
Hinduism is the most ancient religion and when
we know majority people were illiterates till recent
years, it was difficult for humanity more than five
thousand years ago to understand some things exist
without physical form let alone God. And it was then
that our ancient sages brought in the worship of
idols. In the recent available history one of the

biggest flag bearers of Hinduism whom I greatly
admire, Jagad Guru Adi Shankaracharya (The
original who lived around 1200 years ago) also
continued and promoted worship of Shiva Linga. But
again some of you may not be aware that the same
Adi Shankara was the biggest preacher of Advaita
Vedanta. A fact that he too believed and understood
God, as only one and all encompassing pure and
without any attributes with which to define. It is true
that Hinduism allows worship of God in the form of
Idols. So did he set up Shiva temples and promoted
worship of Linga to reinstate Hinduism when many
people were tilting towards Buddhism. Because as
we know even in his era majority people were
backward and not literate so it was easier to convince
them in worshipping a visible idol rather than an
invisible all encompassing supreme.
The Advaita Vedanta mentions that in reality
only God exists and everything else is illusionary, I
would further clarify this illusion as in the form of
energy which makes for everything that we see and
physically experience. And further to this as per me
our science and research are all within this energy so
however far we advance in science it is within this
illusion and the reality that is God who created it is
separate. It is not uncommon to find some highly
educated scientists finally joining as seekers of truth.
For all of you who worship god imagining him
to be a very good looking physical form with lots of
ammunitions and adorable things in his hands and
body, let me tell you that all these attributes that you
provide him with are there because your mind is
capable of only material attributes and desires, the

material attributes include physical body. In reality
god is without any attributes and can be said to be
pure, purer or purest. The material things and desires
are all energy which he himself created, this changes
in form with time. But today with material desires
topping, most people prefer to worship energy which
they mention as his other half. The feminine form
which we normally characterize as being beside with
God is actually energy (Shakti) and it is this
combination that makes the entire world we see and
experience. It is true that putting this material desires
into the creations was also the will of god. It is
because of the material desires that we have created
all that we can see and including our son or daughter
for that matter.
Some people have a query that if God exists,
then why there are crimes and sufferings? Why
everything is not perfect and always good? This
query did not arise just for people like us; but even
the religion of Buddhism got founded because a
person had this query. Let me tell you that
everything is perfect and always good for those who
have been liberated and are one with him. The
person doing the crime is also him, and the person
suffering is also him; but he does not experience any
of it. This is the illusion that I have mentioned
repeatedly in the book. The great illusion linked to
mind. The theory of karma is also related to this. I
have mentioned karma in the paragraph under
energy, and for a person who is liberated; there is
neither the good karma left nor the bad. It is all
wiped out. Now many of you might have earlier read
about the word liberated or being one with God and

will definitely accept this statement. But do you
think it is possible for any person to be one with a
god who looks like us or be one with a stone idol for
that matter; definitely not; and this is possible
because God if formless or nirakar and all
encompassing.
For providing you an example of this illusion,
take the poorest person in the richest countries of
Europe and they may outwardly seem to us as
happier than the poorest person in Africa or South
Asia. But scientifically analyze their inner feelings
or state of mind and you will find that they are
exactly in the same situation.
All religions have migrated away from the
purest forms thoughts with which their founders
have had created them. This is mainly because every
century sees a powerful political, military, or other
influential leader who interpret the religion in his
own way.
The Hindu religion which is called Sanatan
Dharma or eternal order is so ancient that nobody
can predict when it began and as like any other
religion it too had infinite number of religious or
other powerful people who interpreted it in his own
way or to his own advantage. Here I would highlight
a major example, in many ancient texts and even
Advaita Vedanta the word Brahman was used to
address the supreme God and the only one; but a
particular community which earlier dominated the
Hindu religion began to call themselves as Brahmin.
While the major factor that motivated creating
this whole book is Advaita Vedanta, there are some

more reasons like some verses in Yajur Veda
mentions,
“He is body less and pure”
And in another chapter of the same Veda it is
mentioned that there is no image of Him. Another
holy book the Bhagavad Gita on several occasions
mentions to worship only the supreme. It is also
mentioned in Gita “My original full form cannot be
seen by your these eyes”. Another quote from
Bhagavad Gita,
“He who knows me as the unborn, as the
beginning-less, as the Supreme Lord of all the
worlds”
Prajapatis were a group of deities created by
God and who are in fact part of him, for procreation
and protection of life. The three main Prajapati were
Lord Brahma for creation, Lord Vishnu for
protection and Lord Shiva for destruction or
dissolution. They are also considered as the three
main Gods by Hindus and are called trinity or
trimoorthy. Brahma needed many more hands for
creation and he created many more Prajapatis from
himself and they were called mind born sons .They
included the Saptarishis. And we cannot conclude
that these Rishis were in human form, because some
of them is said to have fathered Brahaspathi, Asuras,
Demons, Indra and Devas, so in short they were
responsible for most of the creations and not just
humanity but also the aliens.
Hinduism is among the oldest civilizations and
with no original history to prove when it began.

worshipping God in the name that you believe him;
but this over hundreds of generations have made
people drift away from the truth that god is formless.
This is the idea that the only one supreme God takes
many different forms, and that although individuals
may worship several different gods and goddesses,
they really revere but one Supreme Being.
The three main names for God is Brahma for
creation, Vishnu for protection and Shiva for
dissolving or known as the destroyer. But one
interesting thing here is that while you read Shiva is
known as the god for destroying or dissolving we
will find that the maximum temples are related to
Shiva. There should definitely be some reason
behind this and we have mentioned a few in the later
pages.
Once a disciple asked sage Angirasa about the
real knowledge by which everything could be known
and to this the sage explained the difference between
higher knowledge and lower knowledge and lower
self and higher self. The lower knowledge was of the
Vedas and scriptures and the higher knowledge was
the knowledge of the self and God, by which we also
understand about immortality. Sage Angirasa is
known as the father of Brahaspathi who is
considered as the guru of devas.
To make the subject of formless God and
drifting away of Hinduism from the original more
convincing, I will include a small note about the
preaching’s of Original Jagad Guru Adi
Shankaracharya who lived around 1200 years ago,
about and also the now very popular Shirdi Sai Baba.
And in the end I will explain my view that the whole

world is only God and the Energy which he created.
A brief about the Sri Vidya Tantra that I understood
was practiced to separate energy from the individual
self. It was believed that by separating energy the
individual experienced the divine. Yes energy
includes the feeling of physical body, mind and time.
Another important and very interesting matter is
just as we have a parliament and ministers to run our
country; In Hinduism and as per the Vedas the
activities on earth was believed to be controlled by
the Devas. Don’t confuse Devas with the supreme
God. Indra dev is said to be the king of the Devalok
(kingdom of devas) and Agni dev in charge for fire,
similarly Varuna dev for water, Kama dev for love
etc. Our solar system including sun is believed to be
circulating around this devalok. So our one year is
just one day for devas. Surely there is some science
here and our science is yet to catch up with this.
Now to provide a validity and convincing proof
to the belief of formless or nirakar God let us learn
something more about Hinduism, which I too
consider and practice as a way of living were
different people worship God in different names and
with different beliefs as to his appearance. We will
have a note about the Vedas, the Upanishads and the
still later Puranas. The philosophy of Advaita
Vedanta is mentioned in detail including the steps
for attaining the same. We will begin with the great
Saptarishis or seven sages because of the importance
attributed to them in creation and some of them are
believed to have fathered the Devas including Indra,
Asuras and Nagas.

Sadhu Ratan Puri

All of us including you are in reality an
incarnation of the God. This is because there is no
life without him. The difference is that some among
you may become aware of this reality and some
further gets a small pie of the unlimited power of
God, and over a period this small difference is
exaggerated by the near and dear ones or some
others with their interest or even devotion. I accept
all the incarnations of lord Vishnu as mentioned in
Hinduism; but we should note one thing here that the
last incarnations are worshipped more than the
earlier ones. Similarly the latest deities to our god
list are getting more worshippers than the earlier
ones.
In the south Lord Ayyappa is believed to be son
of the God’s incarnation as Mohini with Lord Shiva
as father. But that incarnation happened millions of
years ago and Lord Ayyappa was born just thousand
years ago. It was one of the most unexpected and the
most hurting situation for millions of Ayyappa
Swami Devotees when a Kerala Devasom board
confirmed to Supreme Court that the Makara Jyothi
that appears on the edge of the Ponnabalamedu hill
(on the 14th of January, every year) at Sabarimala is
artificially done by them. This is not a private board
and is indirectly controlled by government with their
nominees. That whole state is economically and
politically dominated by other religions or at least
equally; but the state earns a lot of revenue from the
pilgrimage to this place. This is a clear example of
how not just private individuals are commercializing
with the current weakness or ignorance of the people

following Hinduism, but even some governments
are trying to make a mockery of us.
Nobody can say that Lord Ayyappa or even
Saint Sai Baba had millions of devotees or temples
about thousand years back when they were not even
born. We accept it or not they have become part of
our big list of Gods. They may be worth
worshipping; and Hinduism allows worship of God
in whatever name you believe him. But do not forget
the fact that you are worshipping the same one God
who is formless and nirakar in reality.
It is normally accepted by Hindus today to
worship in some of the Dargahs. But what are these
Dargahs? These are shrines built over the grave of
some popular Muslim saints. These saints lived all
their life worshipping Allah. When we are able to
accept and worship these saints; why not accept their
supreme God, whom these saints worshipped?
Now after providing my brief personal
interpretation of Hinduism, I need to ask you one
question. We all know or believe that even the pig
which we consider a dirty animal, is created by god,
and if you expect it to worship God; in what form do
you expect it to worship?
A wise man will give an answer as Varaha
Swami; I too believe and accept that Varaha Swami
was an incarnation of the Lord. But now instead of
asking how a bovine worships, if ask how a donkey
also created by god, will worship him. What will this
wise man answer?
In my opinion God should be first in our mind
and not religion. You can even pray to the supreme

without any religion. This statement is necessary
because if we follow a religion we are at the mercy
of those controlling that religion today. The opinion
about the people controlling a religion is left to the
readers.
I accept the truth that God is without any form
or attributes. This universe is my mind and my mind
is the universe. God is the truth and the universe is
not in truth.
