Hilton Palacio Del Rio The Hilton Palacio Del Rio interior redesign reflects the unique Spanish style of its downtown San Antonio location. From the beginning of the 1960s hotel remodel project, designer Melena Chase of Chase Collaborative set out to create a “hip hacienda” with subtle design touches that reflect the historical architecture and Latin culture of the San Antonio riverfront location. The custom CYP carpet creates an eye-catching focal point in the new corridor public spaces. Chase was inspired by the swooshing motion of Spanish dancers’ skirts and the large, colorful roses often worn in the dancers’ hair. She recreated this pattern in the custom Shaw Hospitality Group CYP carpet in the corridors and elevator lobbies. By alternating the two-toned color palette in the corridor, Chase created rhythm, while adding understated Latin personality to the hotel public spaces. Hilton Palacio Del Rio

The Hilton Palacio Del Rio interior redesign reflects the unique Spanish style of its downtown San Antonio location.
