New Listings in the Hilton Head region increased 3.0 percent to 412. Pending Sales were up 39.9 percent to 382. Inventory levels shrank 15.7 percent to 2,434 units.

Prices got a lift. The Median Sales Price increased 35.9 percent to $299,000. Days on Market was up 0.6 percent to 125 days. Absorption rates improved as Months Supply of Inventory was down 29.1 percent to 7.7 months.

With mortgage rates slightly up but relatively low by historic standards, the Fed has indicated no change in monetary policy based on a moderately-paced economic expansion.
