Our industry has rebounded to profitability which is great. A few bumps along the trail, like this fall can’t derail us now as we head to even better times ahead. Canada’s cow herd will be a major supplier to all of North America as

rebuilding begins next year. We may lose a few producers

now as prices are better, but many are now larger and have

their sights set on moderate, easy fleshing cattle that know how to

work for them rather than be pampered welfare case cows... our

genetics fit right into this mold.Our excitement for our business comes from the great people

we are privileged to meet and do business with every year. We listen to what our customers ideas and goals are and have molded our cattle to what you have asked for, moderate, easy fleshing and low maintenance.

The search for genetic improvement never ends at our ranch and our co-operators ranches. We constantly infuse new genetics from within our herd, A.I. and purchases from fellow breeders. We do measure and record our progress every year, but in our world... no one gives us banners, ribbons or fancy pictures for cows that graze all winter long, rebreed and calve on their own, then are ready to start all over. All this with minimal human intervention or assistance. We do pride ourselves on how little diesel we burn, how long we graze, and how uniform the entire calf crop is. In the end our customers are the big winners.

We will keep the bulls at home after the sale and feed them until early April on a total mixed ration to gain about 2-1/2 lbs./day. We will then independently semen test them and deliver them to central points throughout Western Canada. Delivery will be from about early April to early May.The price for this service is $100 for yearlings and $130 for two’s payable at sale time. It’s a real value as it includes 75 days board, independent semen test, and central point delivery. Insurance will be on site to insure all bull purchases.
