SCHEDULE LOCATION PLAN
Start and finish in the Wetterstein-Hall/ErlebnisWelt Alpenbad Leutasch
HIKING IN THE OLYMPIAREGION SEEFELD
Its unique location alone makes the Olympiare-gion Seefeld, with its villages Seefeld, Leutasch, Mösern, Reith and Scharnitz, a veritable hikers’ paradise boasting some 650 km of mountain walking and hiking paths.
Nestling amidst the mountains of the Wetterstein range, the Alpenpark Karwendel nature reserve and the Wildmoos landscape conservation area, the south-facing high plateau offers the ideal “base camp” for hiking fans and nature lovers.
During the summer months further highlights include for sport enthusiasts 200 km of autho-rised mountain bike trails, a host of mountain lift facilities, 2 indoor pools and an outdoor pool.
PART OF THE NETWORK OF MAJOR LONG DISTANCE HIKING TRAILS – via alpina –e4/european long-distance pathThe „Adlerweg“ (Eagle’s walk), Tyrol’s main long-distance hiking route, connects the province’s most beautiful regions and hiking areas. The trail cuts across the „Olympiaregion Seefeld“ featuring several sections in the Karwendel range and the Adlerweg’s 16th lap in the Leutasch area. Like-wise the Via Alpina and the Alpine variant of the well-known E4 European long-distance path pass through the Olympiaregion Seefeld. Pilgrims also enjoy walking here – one of the routes of the Way of St. James leads from Munich straight through the Leutaschtal valley and then on to Telfs where it joins the Tyrolean Way of St. James. The 12 km long permanent IVV hiking trail takes walkers through the villages of Mösern and Seefeld.
