Foundation members are from St Mary’s Community 1995 After 2 years of community consultation Project Micah Inc is formed as a not for profit incorporated association Inaugural Christmas Hampers for families. Now an annual event Community Access & Support Service (CASS). The first outreach van to people sleeping rough & intoxicated on the streets Funding is received from Department of Justice Victims of Crime program to support people abused in institutions as children First government funding for Project Esther which began in 1994 YMYW Drop in Day begins Project Micah officially changes its name to Micah Projects Inc Community consultation process is undertaken in response to a request from Disability Services to house & support women with severe disability Individual support packages are taken up which leads to the development of ROMIGA & the Social Inclusion Program which continues to grow & develop Esther Trust is formed to support ex-residents from Queensland church & state-run institutions Pilot program begins supporting people in inner-city boarding houses Forde Inquiry announced by Hon Anna Bligh MP Project Micah supports people to submit & present to the Inquiry Queensland Apology to those abused in Queensland Institutions during their childhood
