We had great food……….. Caribbean food
from the catering staff;
Asian food kindly donated by parents.
In our Discovery Room we had……………..
Tropical juice making;
Caribbean and Asian food tasting;
There were lots of similarities between Asian and Caribbean food.
We also made barfi Recipe 2 cups milk powder 1 cup condensed milk A few drops water 1 cup ground almonds A couple of glace cherries Method
In a large bowl, mix the milk powder and the ground almonds, coconut is optional. Once mixed well, add condensed milk and stir until a dough like mixture is formed. If dough is too dry add a few drops of water. Cut the cherries in half and add to the mixture.Grease a tray and spread the mixture evenly. Refrigerate for 30 mins then cut and serve.

In our Movement and Imagination Room we had…
An African drumming workshop by Konaud Gnazeley
Dressing up from a cultural perspective;
Limbo dancing; Karaoke; A variety show with
children playing Tabla drums.
Everyone really had a good time and learnt a lot “My children will
remember this all their life.” Parent
