High School 101: Dress Code

• Students should follow ALL rules regarding attire• The rules regarding dress code WILL be

enforced!• Common mistakes that lead to infractions:

o Sagging pants are NOT permitted. Pants should ALWAYS be worn on the waist!!

Other common mistakes:

o skirts that ride up (they must be fingertip length at ALL times)

o tank tops or shirts that are not FOUR of Mrs. Radcliffe’s fingers wide

o leggings (jeggins, yoga pants, riding pants, or any other tight pant that is not a jean or dress pant)

o No head covering is permitted unless religious reason is documented. This includes headbands, visors, hats,

du-rags, scarves, knitted hats, etc.

• RESPECT and PRESENT yourself in an appropriate manner!!

THERE IS NEVER A HAT DAY!!!

High School 101: Dress Code

Dress Code infractions will be handled in the following manner:

o Students will be given one opportunity to correct a dress code mistake and/or change clothes

o If students refuse to change or change back into original unapproved clothing, students will be issued ISS

o Any other infraction after this point may result in OSS

o Please be aware after repeated dress code infractions, you will no longer be given an option to change. You will be issued ISS or OSS!

High School 101: District and School

Handbooks• Each student is required to read both handbooks

o Students are required to bring in a signed form that both students and parent have read the district handbook THOROUGHLY

• Rules and important information is included in the handbooks. Examples include:o Bell Schedule, Grading Scale, Promotion Requirements,

School Rules, Discipline Infractions including consequences, Calendar, Exam Schedule, School Fees, etc.

o There is a WEALTH of information in the handbook

Handbooks• Students can use their agendas to record

homework assignments

• Students should also use the handbook as a passbook (teachers will sign it to grant a student permission to go from place to place)o Make sure to record destination, date, time, and

signature in the pass portion of the handbook
