How Robo Sand is the perfect substitute

for river sand?

RoboSand's unique properties -

cubical particle shape, consistent

gradation and zero impurities - are the

reasons that structural consultants and

concrete technologists recommend

RoboSand for all construction works.

Initially people used to consume river

sand as fine aggregates for all the

construction works which they were

getting from the river beds. The sand was

excavated illegally from the river beds in

highly unorganized and unplanned

manner which led to floods and loss of

flora and fauna. River bed mining was

banned in large number of states across

India which led to shortage to availability

of Fine Aggregates which could substitute

for River Sand in the construction works.

With the increased construction activities

and higher grades of concrete being the

norm efforts were made to identify and

manufacture a product which could

replicate the properties of river sand to a

large extent.We identified the need of such

product and introduced RoboSand, in

2001 in Hyderabad and started producing

Robo Sand and Robo Plast at other

location as well.

Plant Operations

Robo Sand is created by a rock on rock

crushing technique using state-of-the art-

plant and machinery with world-class

technology from Metso Minerals Crushing

Systems Created from specific natural

rock, it is crushed by four stage configura-

tion consisting of� Quarry- involves drilling, blasting,

segregation, secondary breaking and

transportation of 500 mm down sized

natural rock to the plant.� Primary Circuit consisting of one Jaw

Crusher that crushes 500 mm rock to

150 mm down size aggregate.� Secondary Circuit consisting Cone

Crusher crushes 150 mm to produce

40 mm size aggregate � Tertiary Circuit consisting Vertical

Shaft Impactor that produce Sand and

Aggregate of required gradation and

shape like 12mm,20mm,GSB, 4.75mm

finished products � And Finally Vertical Shaft Grinder –

What is the expansion plan of the group?

We are currently operating three

crusher plants with captive quarries at

Hyderabad producing 1.3 lakh MT per

month. Bangalore is producing 50K MT

per month including our premium product

plaster sand having volumes of 8K MT

/month. We are looking at potential

market in Mysore, Vijayawada, Nagpur

where operations have started in line with

our expansion plan. We also have plans to

set up commercial operations at Mumbai,

Pune, Delhi & Chennai along with

enhancing capacity at our existing plants .

By FY 2020 we have ambitious plans to

have 20 crusher plants across India with

annualized turnover of more than 500

crore from present turnover of 150 crore .

We are also aiming aggressive margins

with 25% of Plant level EBIDTA and 15-

17% of Corporate EBIDTA with different

initiative's and business models.

What is the Market Potential for Robo

Sand, Robo Plast and Robo Aggregates?

We are well established players in Southern region and wanted to aggressive expand our commercial productions at major metro cities catering to LSBI, Retail, Dealers, Project & RMC segments.

Bangalore has been major challenging market for us wherein FY-18 estimated yearly production of Aggregates and Sand combined is around 56 lakhs MT ,whereas the yearly consumption is around 27.5 lakhs MT. This has impact on pricing strategy due to over supplies. Our focus is mainly on high contribution customers with better payment terms to avoid risks of bad debts and maintaining healthy cash flows.
