� KICKBACK-REDUCING DESIGN PROMOTES SAFETYKickbacks are one of the most dangerous hazards in woodworking. When

this occurs the wood can be violently thrown out of the saw. Freud’s

kickback-reducing design places a chip limitator before each tooth,

restricting tooth bite to the maximum safe amount. This design reduces

kickback and helps ensure a safer working environment.

� HIGH STRENGTH STEEL ENSURES STABLE, FLAT BLADESFreud saw blades are made of high strength steel, so the blades remain flat

and true, even after years of use. The steel is so strong (40 to 48 Rc),

industrial lasers cut out the blade bodies and expansion slots. Most other

manufacturers "stamp" their blade bodies, using a softer metal (30 Rc) that

can become flexible and allow the blade to wander or warp within the cut

when the wood’s grain pattern is inconsistent.

� EXPANSION SLOTS REDUCE NOISEShaped like a question mark, Freud’s trademark laser-cut expansion slots

reduce noise and allow the blade to expand and contract as needed during

heated operation.

� TENSIONED BLADE BODIES ASSURE SUPERIOR BLADEFLATNESS

To ensure years of smooth operation, Freud pretensions its saw blades with

exclusive computer-controlled equipment. This faint tensioning ring can be

seen around the diameter of select Freud blades. The pretension process

ensures a blade will remain flat, even after hours of normal wear and tear,

including changes in temperature, shocks from cutting and stresses from

turning at high speeds.

� TRI-METAL BRAZING FOR IMPACT-RESISTANT TIPSFreud’s revolutionary tri-metal brazing process bonds the carbide tips to the

steel blade body. This method consists of a layer of copper alloy

sandwiched between layers of silver alloy. The copper allows for flexibility –

and impact resistance to protect the carbide tips and steel shoulders.

� TICO™ HI-DENSITY CARBIDE BLENDS FOR MAXIMUM PERFORMENCE

Freud develops and manufactures its own TiCo™ Hi-Density Carbide Blends

to maximize blade life and material finish. This in-house technology enables

Freud to produce different carbide formulations designed specifically for

each cutting application while sustaining 100% quality control. Using

precise formulations of cobalt, titanium and tungsten, Freud-made carbides

range from the highly impact resistant for durability in ripping applications
