BAZER C ement Mill Elevator Chains
For Superior Performance InCement Plant Bucket Elevators
the BAZER Range of high performance bucket
elevator chains, designed especially for service in
cement plants, provides the highest ultimate and
fatigue strengths for this application. As an added feature,
barrier seals in BAZER Chains help prevent abrasive materials
from entering and attacking the chain joints.
BAZER Chains are exclusively manufactured at world class
chain facility in the United States.
Maximum Strength
These BAZER Chains (956, 958 and 984) are made of
specially selected 100% alloy steel and they possess
ultimate strength ratings significantly higher than any
competitive brand. A specially developed piercing
technique makes exceptionally smooth pitch holes for
high interference fits. This piercing method, combined
with shot peening, yields maximum fatigue strength and
protects against failure, even when the chains are
challenged by the most severe applications.
Precision Manufacturing Eliminates Staggered Pins
Problem : Staggering pins or pin links has been an industry
trade-off for years. This was thought to be a remedy to the
problem of side bowing (chain hangs crooked), which occurs
when the pitch of the outer sidebars is not held to close
enough tolerances or when pin links are not built straight.
Barrier Seals
The chain bushing extends beyond the inside sidebar to
establish a barrier to prevent as much abrasive materials
as possible from entering the pin/bushing joint area. This
heavy duty hardened part will not wear out prematurely,
as it will not separate from the chain and contaminate
cement plant production batches. Located between the
inside and outside sidebars, the barrier seals reduce
the effect of build-up of material due to “flooding” of
the elevator boot section, causing dry cavitation of pins.
Solution : The BAZER chains are manufactured to close
tolerances using state-of-the-art production equipment and
methods. This enables us to produce high-performance cement
elevator chains without staggered pins, allowing chains to hang
straight and true without compromising strength or wear life.

Maximum Wear Life
Extra deep induction hardening of pins and carburizing of bushings provides unsurpassed wear life. After extensive testing, an
appropriate high-hardness specification was developed to resist abrasion caused by cement. A specific level and depth of
hardness is produced and carefully checked to ensure that BAZER chains provide the maximum wear and toughness necessary
to survive extended periods of service in cement plant bucket elevators.

The BAZER 956 chain can be used as a replacement for all Bucket elevator applications
using 856 and 956 chains. The BAZER 956 chain with K24 attachment operates on the
existing Traction Wheel and the existing buckets can be mounted on the chain.
Similarly the BAZER 958 chain with K44 attachment is a direct replacement of the
857-K44 attachment chain and the 958-K44 attachment chain.
The BAZER 984 chain with K443 attachment can be used for all applications using
864-K443 and 984-K443 chains and can be operated with the existing traction wheels
and buckets.
BAZER
Traction Wheel Rims
The precision manufactured and heat treated Tractor Wheel Rims
for head shaft and foot shaft work together with the Bazer chain
to give extended Elevator life. The chain life is only as good as the
Tractor Wheels that drive it, so maximize your operations with
Bazer Tractor Wheels.
Maintenance free Alloy Steel Bush Bearings
The Foot Shaft Bush Bearings manufactured from special
grade Ni-hard material are designed to operate for all
applications of the cement industry Bucket Elevators. The
self-cleaning design of the bearings give them a long life,
even when handling abrasive materials
Metric Buckets with wear lips
The complete range of metric dimension buckets with options of
wear lips for handling abrasive materials. These buckets are
designed for maximizing bucket filling level and for clean
discharge of all types of dry materials for cement industry
applications.
