Through several grants, we have been able to greatly expand Guidance Services
With a tough proposed budget, we will be looking at possibly reducing personnel
Positive State Audit Received Continue to promote LRE-Least Restricted
Environment, through inclusion model Improved Secondary Transition
Programming Implementation of IEP Writer Participation in County-Wide Parent
Trainings Added Social Worker and Behavior

Have worked to maintain a Fund Balance Applying for numerous State and Federal
grants to supplement finances Proposed State budget provides a $2.2
million less in state funding Currently preparing suggested cuts across
the district Currently exploring areas to increase
revenues like Access billing, Summer School, Billing for Foster Care, etc.
Reduction of Vocational Technical Costs Baseball Field Moving along with high school renovation Tentatively plan to add wing to high
school to accommodate Career Academy› Develop working relationship with WCCC to
share this space. This would be a great opportunity for our students and our community
Currently, reducing the amount of Discipline, Academic, Attendance Reviews› Due to such things as increased guidance
counselors, credit recovery, transition programs, and use of social workers/behavioral specialists
Olweus Bullying Prevention grant just added to Marshall and Hutchinson Elementary buildings (Applied for Clark and High School and awaiting answer)
Improve parking and traffic at Hatfield
Most innovative position with transition counselor from 8th to 9th grade
Many evening student/parent workshops focused on college and career preparation
Added counselor through SLC grant Part of Middle High Forum committee
working closely with the Consortium for Public Education on transition services
Teacher 2 year Early Bird Contract Working on AFSCME Contract for
cafeteria workers, custodians, and maintenance
Bus Contracts signed with First Student and M&R Transportation
Need to continue to review and update all policies
Currently working on policies that have been recently or need to be addressed:› Attendance› Library Materials Selection Process› District Cafeteria Policy› Promotion and Retention› Health and Wellness Policy› Travel› Dress Code
Signed new contract with First Student and M&R transportation
Continue to monitor Alternative Education transportation and costs
GPS is now installed on all buses for tracking and safety issues
Continue to support student activities even through the lack of state funding
Addition of elementary art and music teachers
Provide wide range of athletic opportunities for boys and girls
