H I B I S C U SA perfect example of elegant Italian architecture overlooking the pristine and
world famous white sands of Macaroni Bay. This Tuscan styled masterpiece is
nestled into the lush, wild tropical landscape with quite spectacular 270-degree
views along the sparkling Mustique coastline and towards distant Caribbean
Islands.
Designed and built by the eminent Arne Hasselquist in 1999 and featured in
‘Architectural Digest’, Hibiscus is a quintessential example of the rich myriad
of architecture that makes Mustique such a unique and special private island
retreat.

From the entrance, a covered dining hall with hanging lanterns and wide flag stone floor open out to a sheltered garden courtyard with a pretty lily pond at the base of a rocky outcrop.

The dining area flows through to the magnificent vaulted ‘great room’ with ornate chandeliers and breath-taking views with French doors leading out onto the veranda, flanking the principal elevation. There is also an interconnected games room and playroom as well as a television room.

The six superb bedroom suites include an exceptional master suite with a wonderful big bathroom opening to the veranda and an outside rock pool. The second master suite also enjoys a private terrace and access to another rock pool. Four further large suites are spread over the terraced levels, one of which, has a further children’s dormitory attached.

Surrounding the house are manicured landscaped gardens, with a wonderful swimming pool, a further rock pool and a number of wide sun decksgiving numerous areas for relaxing and outside entertaining. There are also two outside Gazebo’s providing sheltered external sitting and dining areas.
The spectacular coastal views can be enjoyed from all around the property and the gardens seem to melt into the natural surroundings, giving the house a very private and mature feel within its setting.

M U S T I Q U E I S L A N DMustique lies 18 miles south of St. Vincent in a collection of unspoilt islands in the Eastern Caribbean. Mustique encompasses only
1,400 acres, measuring 1.5 miles wide by 3 miles long.
The terrain is made up of rolling hills and lush vegetation with stretches of deserted white sand beaches surrounded by protected reefs and
clear aquamarine seas. The exclusive island of Mustique is at the northern tip of The Grenadines bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the west
and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. It is part of the Lesser Antilles that are, in turn, part of the Windward Islands of the Caribbean.
Mustique is reached by air from North America and Europe through Barbados, St. Vincent, Canouan, Grenada, Martinique, St. Lucia,
Puerto Rico or Trinidad.
