tion and even new motion patterns.

The concept Smart City covers not only the possibility

of communicating everywhere in urban areas, but also

in particular for the city to become more “green” in a

cleverer way of saving energy.

HeSaLight Street Light Retrofit is a series of beautifully

designed products. With the built-in wireless commu-

nication-system LumiIntel, the Street Light Retrofit is

equipped for any conceivable changing environment

with unlimited expansion possibilities.

The lighting characteristics of the different types of lumi-

naires are tailored to meet the demands for high light-

ing-output, low glare, even light distribution as well as a

high color rendering.

HeSaLight At Street Level

The PRO Street Light has an elegant, organic design, shaped to minimize the maintenance of the surfaces and make the housing appear lighter. Internal mainte-nance is also made simple due to the easy accessible clam-shell-design.

Despite the relatively small appearance, the luminaire emits a wide-spread light, covering required areas of the street and pavement.

Furthermore, the PRO Street Light has the option of angulation with an adjustable link –ranging from hori-zontal to vertical position.

It produces less glare as the LEDs are placed in a re-tracted position from the covering glass surface.

The reproduction of colors is unusually high for this type of luminaires, offering better visibilities in the illuminated areas.

The PRO Street Light variations are based upon two sizes with different Wattage (numbers refer to the Wattage):

Lighting technique: Optimal glare characteristics

Well-designed optics in respect to glare is important: To prevent people moving through a well illuminated area from being disturbed by glare, the optics must take this into consideration. Therefore it is not only the distribution of light that is enough to meet the requirements for lighting.

The Retrofit Street Light Engine is developed to be the efficient, low-energy, high-color-rendering alternative to conventional streetlighting.

City of Villamena, SpainHeSaLight used the RSLE Retrofit Street Light Engine in a 40W dimmable version with COB LED and asymmetri-cal optics of borosi-licate glass to achieve the desired uniform light distribution. To improve the visibility for drivers and the perceived security for pedestrians a natural white color temperature (Kelvin) of 3.800 was used.

The asymmetrical optics provided precise light distri-bution and sharp cut-off that reduced light spillage to adjacent housing, eliminating light pollution which had been a problem in some locations.

The main objective was to optimize the light levels to get good and safe lighting levels in residential streets. A further objective was to improve the perceived security level felt by the inhabitants of the city.

The Retrofit Street Light Engine variations are based upon three Wattages, each with the standard variations of 3000, 4000 and 5000Kelvin (numbers refer to the Wattage):

The LED Park Light is a modernized version of a clas-sical luminaire ready to replace existing polemounted park-lights. It has an excellent distribution of light due to a prism-effect built into the downward directed dome. Where more suitable, a clear version without the prism-effect is obtainable as well.

The top part of the Park Light is constructed to effi-ciently cool the LED inside. It is closed to prevent light from being emitted upwards, thus eliminating “light pollution” in the night sky.

The lightdistribution is evenly spread 360 deg., ensur-ing a feeling of safe and comfortable light in the sur-roundings.

The LED Park Light variations are based upon two Watt-ages, 30 and 60 W, both in the size of either 400 or 500 mm in diameter. In addition all four variants can be de-livered with either 3000, 4000 or 6500Kelvin:

The High Power LED Floodlight-luminaire series is for all types of outdoor lighting with high illumination de-mands. The City of Villamena, SpainSeveral historical buildings including the church with parts that dates back to the 16th century was illumi-nated with Flood Lights in a color temperature (kelvin) similar to the old Metal-halide(MH) to maintain the his-torical impression of the architecture, but with better light distribution and much lower energy consumption.
