Book Club Selection

Bailey Ruth loves to return to earth as an emissary from Heaven's Department of Good Intentions. Problem is, she's a bit of a loose cannon as far as ghosts go--forgetting to remain invisible, alarming

earthly creatures--so she's far from the top of department head Wiggins's go-to list for assignments. That's why she's surprised when the Heaven-sent Rescue Express drops her off at a frame house on the outskirts of her old hometown, Adelaide, Oklahoma, where a young man is playing the drums. What kind of rescuing does he need--drum lessons? But when a window cracks and a rifle barrel is thrust inside, only Bailey Ruth's hasty intervention saves Nick Magruder from taking a bullet. When she materializes to reassure him, she finds she can't go back to vanishing. What gives? It turns out she's been tricked by Nick's late aunt--Delilah Delahunt Duvall--to come to the young man's rescue, which means she isn't back on earth in service of the department. Wiggins has no idea where she is--and now she may be trapped in Adelaide forever. Unless she can help Aunt Dee snare the person who wants her nephew dead."

All active duty service members, veterans and their families are eligible. Must pre-register and provide proof of military service such as a DD-214, Military ID, or VA Medical Card.

Please take note: To ALL Heritage Senior Center Members and Guests - Our Board of Directors encourages members who visit Heritage Senior Center, but do not eat lunch, to donate if possible to participate in activities. As you know, we get our funding solely based on the number of people who join us for lunch. Please consider signing up for lunch so that we can be compensated from the Office of Aging, therefore supporting Heritage Senior Center. Please make reservations in the “lunch sign up book” at the front desk two business days in advance. Thank you for your continued support!

*PLEASE sign your name or initials on our clipboard when you arrive at the senior center. The YCAAA needs this information. *Remember to cancel your lunch as soon as possible if you cannot attend. *Also remember to call if you will be delayed so that we save your meal!

***PLEASE NOTE*** The YCAAA policy states we are ONLY able to give take out meals in cases where

someone is sick and unable to make it in to the senior center. (taken by a spouse or friend of the member.) We do not get funding at all from take out meals. Please only use this option when absolutely necessary. Also, YCAAA would like to remind us that a majority of the meal contents are meant to be eaten, not wasted and thrown away. Officially that means at least “51%” of the meal should be consumed.

Thank you to Marci Roth for your many years of teaching Tai Chi and Healthy Steps in Motion, the center is

infinitely indebted to you for your major part in our expansion through the years due to your classes! It was a

tribute to your thoughtful and patient teaching! You were always a joy and we will miss your beautiful smile!

restaurants on the first Sunday of each month at 1pm with other members of the senior center. We have a sign-up sheet at our reception desk and you must pre-register. If you need to cancel, please call the facilitator on the sign-up sheet.

An Invitation to the fall play at the Dover High School.... My name is Jamie Brandstadter, and I am the director of the fall play and musical here at Dover High School. Also, we would like to invite your group to a preview of Les Miserable: Student Edition on March 4th at 6:00. Both will be held in the Dover High School auditorium. Admission for your group is free, but donations will be accepted if anyone would like to donate.

Thank you for always being a warm and receptive audience who makes our first dress rehearsal comfortable and motivates us to do our very best to prepare for our performance.

Thank you,
