The Town of Whitby has provided the following list of heritage building specialists to assist owners of heritage properties find professionals with relevant heritage work experience and products. The company names and individuals listed below are those companies that are currently known to exist.
It is important to note:
• The listing is not necessarily all inclusive
• The heritage specialists listed are not intended to be construed as an endorsement by the Town of Whitby
• It is highly recommended that property owners undertake rigorous due diligence and reference checking
• Contractors should follow recognized heritage conservation principles including Parks Canada Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada (2003)
• The Town of Whitby reserves the right to remove contractors involved with inappropriate alterations to designated properties from this document
