Time to play, recover, have fun and prepare…

Dear children, Holidays are about to begin! There is no doubt

that vacations are the most appropriate time for you to

refresh and rejuvenate to showcase your performance more

enthusiastically. We have planned for you some fun activities

to make the optimum use of your energy and give a vent to

your creativity so that you continue learning during the

holiday break as well.

Parents are requested to only guide their children while doing the

All the works should be handwritten and done neatly and independently.

Originality of the work will be appreciated.

Project / Homework will be assessed on the basis of neatness, creativity and

Choose any one task mentioned below. A Collage Says It All!

Collect some news articles, relevant information and some pictures about the waste

management in the UAE. Cut different shapes using coloured sheets as shown in the

picture below. Then paste the collected information and pictures on those shapes.

Finally arrange and paste them neatly on an A4 size paper to create a colourful and

attractive collage giving it a suitable title.

My Carbon Footprint!

A carbon footprint is defined as the total amount of greenhouse gases produced to

directly and indirectly support human activities, usually expressed in equivalent tons

of carbon dioxide.

Create your own carbon footprint by following the instructions given below:

❖ Cut an A3 sized paper in the shape of a big foot covering the entire sheet.

❖Divide it into different sections as shown in the picture given below.

❖ Write some of the steps you would take to reduce carbon emissions in your day

to day lives in different sections.

❖ Draw/paste some colourful pictures related to the steps taken by you.

To promote Goal 11 in Sustainable Development Goals, Waste management in

the UAE is coordinated through local authorities. Waste issues are handled

through recycling, converting waste to energy, new technologies and improved

waste separation and collection systems.

Collect information about the desalination plants and dams in the UAE

and government's efforts and strategies to ensure water security. Create a

UAE implemented many “waste to energy projects” to generate energy in

the form of electricity or heat from the primary treatment of waste.

Conduct a research and make a booklet.
