Hercules stuffing boxes are recognized for superior quality and design unsurpassed in the industry. Hercules originated cone-style packing and it quickly became the industry standard. Now with the advent of DOME® packing, Hercules has introduced a new concept destined to become an even greater standard. Both cone and DOME® packing provide a tight seal without the excessive tightening required for compression-type packing. Certain Hercules stuffing boxes have a unique misaligning feature thatreduces the need for exactalignment with the pumpingunit. The newer inverted coneand DOME® style packingautomatically compensate for flow line pressures.
