I’m deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in this program as it helped make Nebraska a place to call home. Going forward, I’m excited to see how I can use the skill sets gained by participating in LEAD.

Program Overview: Leadership Education/Action DevelopmentThe Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council founded the Nebraska LEAD Program in 1981 in cooperation with Agriculture Builders

of Nebraska, Inc. and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

All had recognized the need for a nonpartisan, nonpolitical organization to promote and develop future agricultural leaders. The council’s overall mission remains “to prepare and motivate men and women in agriculture for more effective leadership.”

Each year up to 30 highly qualified individuals with leadership potential are selected statewide to participate in our two-year program. For information about making application to LEAD or to nominate a possible candidate, visit our website at www.lead.unl.edu or call 402-472-6810.

We thank the following individuals, businesses, and corporations that are current FY July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020, Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council members providing crucial dollars to cover our program delivery costs. The giving level reflects the amount given during FY 2019-2020. The number in parentheses represents the number of consecutive years of giving.
