Quick reference Heidelberg CAx Quality Manager Functionalities Examination of the data quality of Siemens NX data with HQM 0 General This Quick reference gives an overview about the interaction between PartConfigurator (Daimler tools for entering meta data) and Heidelberg CAx Quality Manager (HQM). The definition and stipulation of the NX data quality is based upon the requirements of the production generation process. National and International recommendations (VDA, SASIG PDQ), CAD-system specific characteristics (NX) and company specific stipulations (Norms and Standards) serve as the basis. Heidelberg CAx Quality Manager Input data with PartConfigurator 1 Each PRT with RNI_PARTTYPE=PRT has to have process-relevant PRT attributes that need to be added to the PRT with the PartConfigurator. Therewith HQM can find a process-relevant sub-profile, at least the following attributes must be present: Buisness-Unit Department ConfigurationName Release Relevant If no sub-profile can be found, then the sub-profile FALLBACK is taken for testing. Assemblies and drawings are recognized only on the basis of the attribute RNI_PARTTYPE=ASM or RNI_PARTTYPE=DRW. Other attributes are not required for the selection of the sub-profile. Activate the PRT to be tested to add part attributes. 0 General

• This Quick reference gives an overview about the interaction between PartConfigurator (Daimler tools for entering meta data) and Heidelberg CAx Quality Manager (HQM).

• The definition and stipulation of the NX data quality is based upon the requirements of the production generation process. Input data with PartConfigurator 1

• Each PRT with RNI_PARTTYPE=PRT has to have process-relevant PRT attributes that need to be added to the PRT with the PartConfigurator.

• Therewith HQM can find a process-relevant sub-profile, at least the following attributes must be present:

• A dialog box appears in which you can decide whether the PRT is to be stored for the check seal take-over to SMARAGD.

Examine all components of an assembly 3 • Assembly is opened in NX.

Start HQM 3a

• Select Assembly Check.

Fully load of components 3b • Before the test, there is

the possibility of reloading not completely loaded components.

• Close result window. If the test result should be transferred SMARAGD, then perform directly RNI-Synchronize (without change of the assembly).

Healing and Re-Check 2c • For healing: Add element

to healing list (Context menu).

• Apply Re-check

Finish examination (with check seal) 2d

• Click OK to transfer check seal to SMARAGD

• Click YES if the test result should be transferred to SMARAGD, then directly click on RNI Synchronize (without changing the PRT).

Indicates that the results are not up-to-date.

• A dialog box with the results of the last test is displayed. If no results are given, then the components are disabled.

• Select to perform a new test and to get current results.

• The dialog box Save and transfer is displayed.

• If the parts are ready for release, then close the dialog box with

• A dialog box with the last test results is displayed.

Display report 5 • In the HQM toolbar select Options.

• Select Letzter Report in the opened dialog box.

• A web browser with the last generated report is opened.

Start test of single part within overview window

Test part in assembly context 4 • Assembly is opened in NX.

• For test of a component in the assembly context, there are two possibilities:

• Make component to Displayed Part and test with HQM. See chapter 2: Examine PRT.

• Alternatively, components can be tested from within the Assembly Check of HQM.

• When the check run is completed, the result window will open.

• To show the detail result, expand the node of the component.

Finish test 4b

• Perform step 3a to 3c.

• In overview window right click the component to be tested and choose in context menu Add to checklist.

• The component gets a new symbol , which indicates that it has been selected for testing.

• Select

• To get more detailed information about the test, left-click the check in the result window.

• To perform only few checks right click them and select in the context menu Add to checklist.

• To change the Displayed Part, simply double-click the component to be activated.

• If the test result should be transferred to SMARAGD, then perform directly RNI-Synchronize (without modifications).

• The dialog box Save and transfer is displayed.

• If the parts are ready for release, then close the dialog box with

• Double-click the component in order to make it to the Displayed Part.

• Click on to save the model and to transfer the check seal to SMARAGD.
