HEATHER GILLIS BAND
BIO: Heather Gillis is a guitarist/vocalist from Tampa
Florida who currently attends Florida State University and fronts her own band based out of Tallahassee. Within her 5 years as a professional musician, she has not only formed a following at a local level, but she has played alongside and befriended members of the Allman Brothers, Col Bruce Hampton, Tedeschi Trucks Band, North Mississippi All-Stars, Aquarium Rescue Unit, The Word, Derek Trucks Band, Miles Davis’ Band, The Lee Boys and many more. Touring with Butch Trucks (drummer for the Allman Brothers Band) provided Heather with professional experience on the road.
With her new album released in fall of 2015, Heather's live shows consist of her original music as well as energetic rock-soul-blues infused music. Heather fronts the band on guitar and vocals and is backed by a tight group of musicians.
