Hearst Elementary School Classroom Supply Lists 2015-2016 Greetings Hearst Families, The school supply lists provided in this handout are for grades K-5. The lists include items that are to be brought in during the first week of school. Many of these supplies are consumables and therefore teachers may ask you to bring additional quantities as the school year progresses. 2015-2016

Greetings Hearst Families, The school supply lists provided in this handout are for grades K-5. The lists include items that are to be brought in during the first week of school. Many of these supplies are consumables and therefore teachers may ask you to bring additional quantities as the school year progresses. Kindergarten

Dear Parents and Kindergarteners, Welcome to Kindergarten! We are so excited to about our upcoming school year. To prepare for the busy time ahead there are some supplies we will need to get our year off to a great start! Take notice that a few items only boys will bring in and a few items only girls will bring in. Please be mindful that some items on this list may need to be replenished as the year progresses. We will send home notes as more supplies are needed: These items are for classroom use: DO NOT LABEL FOR YOUR CHILD. Please place all items in plastic bags and label each bag with your child’s name. 2 boxes of Crayola Broad Tip markers (classic 10 count w/gray and pink) 1 set of Bic Permanent Markers Assorted Colors Broad Tip (12-24 pk) 1 pack of Crayola Twistable crayons (24 count) 4 large glue sticks 1 pair of Fiskar 5 inch scissors 1 box of baby wipes 1 roll of paper towels 1 pack of white copy paper 2 packs of colored cardstock paper (not construction paper) 8 ½ x 11 Available at Craft Stores and Office Supply Stores 1 small box of spoons Boys 1 small box of forks Girls 1 non-perishable snack (snack and drink boxes or water) for our class of 20 students (NO

NUTS or PEANUT BUTTER)

**If possible, we would love a package of white 11x17 copy paper. Our kids need larger surfaces to create.

Label these items with your child’s name: Due on the First Day of School 1 resting mat (Angeles 2” thick super rest mat item #8WWMAT) This item can be purchased at www.discountshoolsupply.com 1 Bath towel or child sized blanket 1 child sized backpack (no wheels-limited space) 2 changes of clothes (underwear, bottoms, tops, and socks) stored in a large Ziploc bag.

The rest mat, clothes, and snacks will be due on the first day of school. We would like for all families to bring in the non-perishable snack on the first day of school. These items will be used for snack during the month of September. We will begin the rotating snack schedule in October. Please look for snacks that are low in sugar and contain NO Peanuts or Tree Nuts.

First Grade Classroom Supplies

Welcome to the first grade! The following items are our foreseeable needs for the first grade classrooms. We may, however, ask for more supplies and materials as the year proceeds. Thank you for your support!

• 1 large box of Kleenex • 1 package Clorox wipes • 1 bottle of hand sanitizer • 1 box of quart size food storage zipper bags • 24 #2 pencils (Dixon Ticonderoga preferred) • 4 Wedge erasers (no cap erasers!) • 1 pair of kid scissors • 8 glue sticks • 1 box of Crayola® crayons (24+ count) • 1 box of colored pencils (12+ count) • 2 wide ruled composition books (Please label the inside with your child’s

name.) • 2 reams of copy paper 8.5x11” • 1 ream of light colored cardstock (not construction paper) • 1 inch binder

For everyday use by your child only:

• 1 backpack (large enough for folders, no wheels) Wish List: If you have any of the following items to donate to First Grade:

We are very excited to teach your children this year! These are our beginning of the year needs. We will periodically need restocking of some of these supplies. Please visit the link provided in this handout and visit the online ordering system for a list of our supplies. You can print the list and shop on your own if you wish. Items not on the website are listed below in our wish list section. Please be sure to only label your child’s backpack!!! All other supplies will be used throughout the year in our classroom community! Wish List Items

Any of the following items would be greatly appreciated!

1) Copy paper – white or colored (most desired item!!!!)

2) Cardstock paper, any color

3) Colored Construction Paper

4) Outdoor play equipment: balls (nerf or rubber), jump ropes, hula hoops

5) Floor puzzles (32-64 pieces)

6) Board Games for rainy days

7) Backup snacks to keep on hand (nut free & non perishable, please!)

4th Grade Supply List

• 5 three hole punched folders (colors one each: red, blue, yellow, green, purple)

• 1 pack of expo markers (8 total) thin and black!

• 1 box of tissues

• 1 roll of paper towels

• 1 bottle hand sanitizer

• 1 big can of Lysol wipes

• 3 packs of pencils(10-12 count)

• 10 pack thin markers

• 2” white 3 ring notebook with clear pocket on the front

FIFTH GRADE

Community School Supplies

• 4 Dry Erase Markers, low-odor, thin tip (dark color preferred) • 3 (10-12pack) No. 2 Pencils (Dixon Ticonderoga or Staples brand

preferred) • 6 wedge Erasers • 1 - six pack of post-its • 2 packages of loose-leaf notebook paper (wide-ruled) • 2 reams of copy paper (white) • 12-pack of colored pencils • 10-pack of markers • 2 packs of blue or black pens

All supplies except those listed below are for community use. Please only label the following:

• 3 single subject wire-bound notebooks (wide-rule) • 1 composition book • 4 Heavyweight Folders (plastic if possible, with pockets on the side or

bottom) • 1 soft pencil pouch (no plastic boxes) • (1) 1-inch three-ring binder (clear plastic sleeve front) • (1) 8-tab divider pack to place in binder

AUTISM EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM SUPPLY LIST Ms. DeSilva’s Class

Below is a list of supplies that your child should bring during the first week of school: • 3 boxes of tissue • 1 large bottle of hand sanitizer • 3 large containers of disinfectant wipes - like “clorox” • 1 box of plastic spoons • 1 box of plastic forks • 1 box of plastic knifes • 2 boxes of paper or plastic cups (around 5 oz in size) • 2 rolls of paper towels • 3 box of baby wipes • 1 box gallon size zipper style bags • 1 box sandwich size zipper style bags • 1 pack 8 1/2 x 11 white copy paper • 1 pack 8 1/2 x 11 multi-colored card stock • 1 (3 inch) 3 ring binder • 3 glue sticks • 1 case of water (1/2 pint in size) Also, • 2 complete changes of clothing, please replenish as needed and change

Art and Music Supply and Wish Lists

MUSIC Second through fifth graders will learn the recorder. It is preferable that all students have the same instrument - Yamaha YRS-24B ivory, standard fingering, “baroque” fingering style. There will be a box set up outside the main office starting on the first day of school. The following items can be left in this location.

• Sketch books (simple black & white composition books) Each student

will need to have one so any that can be donated will be a big help. • Baby Wipes (new boxes or refill packs). Wipes will be used after each

class to clean the tables and students will also use them to clean their hands (please NO CLOROX WIPES)
