2017 Healthcare and Employee Benefits Symposium
23
Thank you for joining Lockton’s Fourth Annual Healthcare and Employee Benefi ts Symposium.
The past few years have presented signifi cant challenges for Human Resources professionals.
While our economy continues to improve, the fi ght for top talent has become fi erce. Many
organizations are focusing on employee engagement strategies to focus their workforce on
corporate initiatives while living in a time of great distractions. The regulatory environment for
healthcare continues to be a signifi cant area of administrative burden and no doubt will face
signifi cant change with the new regime in Washington. We also see many new technology
vendors and solutions entering the market that promise transformation in the way Human
Resources professionals use data to better manage their workforce.
We know your time is valuable and have intentionally focused our agenda on topics that will
improve your ability to serve your organizations. We hope you will actively contribute in this
meeting as it we know it will make us all better. We also hope to see you again next year!
Welcome to Kansas City!

Dr. Charlie CartwrightAssistant Vice PresidentClaims Cost Control [email protected]
Dr. Cartwright has over thirty years of leadership and management experience, primarily spent in the transportation,
staffi ng, and healthcare fi elds. His responsibilities included budgeting, personnel, sales, production, and creating and
maintaining safe and productive work environments. Included in the latter were designing programs and implementing
effective ways of reducing workplace injuries and the resultant lost time and expenses associated with them.
Charlie obtained his bachelor of science and chiropractic degrees in 2001, successfully passing the National Board
exams, making him a board-certifi ed chiropractic physician. Because Charlie has this added background in the medical

analyze the systems in place, and be able to recommend, help implement, and follow up with each employer for the
quickest and most cost-effective solutions.
Charlie is also a highly sought-after consultant and professional speaker. He travels all over the country speaking on
business-related topics such as organizational culture, morale, safety, and leadership. His insights help business leaders

Viktor ReznicekPrincipalKPMG
Viktor is a Principal in KPMG’s HR Advisory practice with more than 25 years of experience in HR transformation and HR operations.
Before joining KPMG, Viktor led Towers Watson’s HR Service Delivery business for North America, which comprised HR consulting and HRMS
implementation. Prior to that, he spent ten years in business operations for HR managed-service providers. This included fi ve years leading
the Global Mobility business for Xerox and fi ve years leading US Benefi ts Administration operations at EDS and HP. Previously, Viktor spent
ten years in HR consulting at Towers Perrin, most recently as Managing Principal of the Denver offi ce. Early in his career, Viktor worked as HR
Director at Tele-Communications Inc. and as an ERP software developer.
Professional and Industry Experience
As HR Consultant:
Viktor led the HR transformation for a faith-based healthcare organization to create one “system” from ten independent hospitals. The project
included developing an HR strategy that set the foundation for where the system HR team would allocate resources and energy. Together with
the CEO and CFO, Viktor developed an HR service delivery model that included an HR Shared Services center and a consistent role for HR
business partners across the system. Viktor designed a new HR organization structure, wrote role profi les, defi ned competencies, and created
interview guides that for the fi rst time established one HR service delivery model and one HR team.
As Corporate HR Director:
Viktor led the reorganization of a large US telecommunications company from 250 independent offi ces to six operating divisions with nine
regional call centers. The work included designing a new organization structure, defi ning roles for each corporate function, and staffi ng the
new organization. For the HR function, he helped design a centralized HR Shared Services function with role profi les and performance metrics.
The design also included selection and implementation of the IVR, ACD, case management system, and call center knowledge base. The
project helped propel the organization into the #1 position for telecommunications service providers.
As HR Managed Service Provider:
Viktor led US benefi ts administration operations for a leading HRO provider. The work included implementing and delivering services for two
regional healthcare providers. He helped redesign the service delivery processes, defi ned the retained organization, and staffed and trained
the new team. Concurrently, they built and deployed the next generation multitenant ben admin application, which enabled market share to
be taken from the largest competitor.
