KEEPING THE COMMUNITY WELL OVER THE COUGHS, COLDS & FLU SEASON While general practice remains the right place to go if you are unwell, Central CBAC will remain in place as a ‘drive through/walk-in’ so that people can access support, clinical assessment and advice if people are unsure about the following: • “I am worried I might have COVID 19” • “I have a cold, cough or sore throat and I need some advice or a medical certificate for time off work” • “I need to be assessed so I can return to work after being home sick with a cold or flu “ • “Are my children well enough to go to school?” • “I need some information to help me manage at home” The ‘drive through/walk-in’ is FREE; run by registered nurses and is open 8am to 4.30pm weekdays, and 10am to 3pm at weekends. Please note medication will not be given and if you require further medical care the team will refer you on to the appropriate place. CAN I ACCESS COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH, ALCOHOL & OTHER DRUG SERVICES? Yes. Please pop in and complete a self-referral. We will make contact with you, see what your needs are and arrange an appointment. Or, if you need to talk to someone urgently free text or phone 1737 anytime. CAN I STILL GET SUPPORT IF I NEED IT? Keep track of where you’ve been, when and who you’ve seen to help with contact tracing if needed. 8. Stay vigilant - there’s still a global pandemic going on. People and businesses should be prepared to act fast to step up alert levels if we have to. 9. People will have had different experiences over the last couple of months. it’s okay. Be kind to others. Measles is a very infectious virus. Before immunisation was introduced, nearly all children caught measles. Measles causes a rash, high fever, runny nose, cough and sore watery eyes. Severe cases can result in pneumonia, encephalitis (swelling in the brain), diarrhoea and rarely, death.

HPV is a common virus that spreads through intimate skin to skin contact. Without immunisation, most people will have an HPV infection at some point in their lives. Most HPV infections get better on their own and don’t cause any obvious symptoms. But some HPV infections don’t get better, and can lead to cancer many years later if they aren’t detected and treated first.
