A true story…Headbanger Motor Company nasce per realizzare un sogno di

ragazzo, quello di costruire custom con il fascino della grande

tradizione americana, moto semplici e ignoranti (senza software, senza

elettronica, senza iniezione), street legal al 100% e omologate Euro 3.

Tutto ha inizio molti anni fa durante un giro in moto negli States,

passando da Westwood (LA, California) dove ha sede la UCLA, una

delle più importanti Università americane. In un bookstore scopro una

vecchia copia di Life dedicata al più grande degli eventi degli anni ‘60,

il festival di Woodstock. La apro, la sfoglio e tra le pagine con le foto

e i racconti di quel momento magico, un foglio ingiallito narra la storia

di miglia da percorrere, nomi di cantanti e gruppi ormai nel mito, il

disegno di uno skull, lo schizzo di una moto e una parola, Headbanger,

che una volta letta non riesco più a dimenticare.

A volte una parola vibra e racconta più di un libro di cento pagine.

Headbanger narra di un sogno incontaminato di libertà, porta l’eco di

un assolo di chitarra elettrica, odora di cuoio invecchiato, di benzina

bruciata, di strade senza fine. Decido così di dare vita a questa parola, di

realizzare questo sogno. L’incontro con Luciano Andreoli, ormai per tutti

“The Maestro”, rende possibile dargli corpo e motore.

Headbanger Motor Company oggi è una realtà consolidata con sede

a Milano che dà lavoro e produce, nel proprio stabilimento di Rovato

(Brescia), una gamma di modelli rigorosamente realizzati artigianalmente

da mani esperte, coniugando il meglio dei motori V-Twin americani con la

qualità, lo stile e il gusto del made in Italy.

GS “The Soul”

Headbanger Motor Company was born out of a dream, to build motorcycles that capture the allure of the great American tradition and customized workmanship, simple and straightforward (no software, no electronics, no fuel injection) but 100% street legal and designed to meet Euro 3 emissions standards.It all began many years ago, while a road trip in the States, I stopped by in front of an old bookstore in Westwood (LA, California), not far from UCLA. Inside I found an old issue of Life magazine dedicated to the biggest cultural blowout of the 1960s, the Woodstock festival. Looking through the photos and memories of those magic moments, I chanced upon a yellow scrap of paper someone had left behind that told a story of miles to ride down the roads, names of legendary singers and bands, drawing of a skull and a motorcycle. And the word Headbanger, which I just couldn’t seem to get off my mind!

Sometimes a word expresses more than a 100-pages book ever could. Headbanger conjures up an unspoiled dream of freedom, the metallic echo of an electric guitar solo, the smell of aged leather, burned oil and endless roads. And so I decided to bring that word to life, to chase that dream. Luciano Andreoli, today well known as ‘The Maestro’, made it possible to give it body, shape and engine.Headbanger Motor Company is today a well known motorcycles manufacturer based in Milan and with its Factory in Rovato (Brescia). We crank out a range of custom bikes made by expert craftsmen, who combine the best of American V-Twin engines with the quality, style and taste that the made in Italy tag is famous for.

Headbanger, “uneducated” and “innocent” old-school bikes, a dream comes true, available for people who knows how to choose felling the heartbeat.

Headbanger is the first ever Custom Factory in Italy to build real

motorcycles – not electronic toys! – with the passion of a craftsman,

intended for people who know what to choose, to make their own

“ironwork” alive. Six basic models, each one featuring its own

characteristics, eight certified engines ranging from 1,450 to

2,031 cc, four frames (softail and hardtail) designed by the skilled

Headbanger team and hand finished, spoked wheels of different

sizes, leather seats, visible primary drive belt, customized controls,

hand made paintings realized by Italian artists. All Headbanger

bikes are different from each other for thousands of details, though

remaining within the wide approval datasheet, to be free to run on

the roads of the whole Europe (and further!)

The 2013 range contains important upgrades, in technology as well

as in style, to make custom Headbangers more and more unique,

right from the start. First of all, today HB can offer four different

frame versions: besides the softail, already available in the slim

and long versions, here comes the brand new hardtail (the most

comfortable rigid frame around!!!) and the S&S engines on the

full range! Moreover... 1 inch and ¾ primary belt drive on the full

range, 6-speed gear, new brake calipers, exclusively manufactured

by Beringer for HB, new black brake discs, new central side stand,

ignition switch below the saddle, ignition coil in forward position,

softer and more valuable new seats, anti-skid knurled footrest,

narrow wheels on the whole ‘Old School’ range.

Headbanger è la prima Custom Factory che realizza in Italia con passione artigianale moto vere, non giocattoli elettronici, destinate a un pubblico che sa fare le proprie scelte dando vita al proprio “ferro”. Sei modelli base, ognuno con le proprie peculiarità, otto motori omologati da 1.450 a 2.031 cc, quattro telai (softail e hardtail) disegnati dal team Headbanger con mano esperta e rifiniti a mano, cerchi a raggi di tutte le dimensioni, selleria in pelle, trasmissione primaria con cinghia a vista, comandi personalizzati, verniciature realizzate a mano da artisti italiani. Ogni esemplare si differenzia da tutti gli altri per mille particolari, pur restando all’interno dell’ampia scheda tecnica d’omologazione per poter circolare liberamente sulle strade di tutta Europa (e oltre!).

La gamma 2013 presenta importanti aggiornamenti sia tecnici che stilistici, per rendere sempre più uniche le custom Headbanger, a partire dalla base. Innanzitutto, oggi HB dispone di quattro versioni di telaio: oltre al softail infatti, già disponibile anche in versione slim e long, arriva il nuovissimo hardtail (il rigido più comodo che c’è!!!) a cui si aggiungono i motori S&S su tutta la gamma! E poi... primaria a cinghia da 1 pollice 3/4 su tutta la gamma, cambio a 6 marce, nuove pinze freno prodotte da Beringer in esclusiva per HB, nuovi dischi freno neri, nuovo cavalletto centrale, blocchetto chiavi posizionato sotto alla sella, bobina in posizione avanzata, nuova selleria ancora più morbida e pregiata, poggiapiedi zigrinati antiscivolo, ruote strette su tutta la gamma ‘Old School’. La mia Hollister mi aspetta, anche un semplice piccolo

spostamento con lei è un pieno di emozioni. Il suo cuore, un S&S

da 88 cu.in. (1.450 cc) è pronto al mio comando, il serbatoio

è pieno, le sue ruote rigorosamente a raggi da 16” sono

fatte per rendere più dolci anche le asperità delle strade

del mondo (e anche della nostra città). Tutto è semplice,

naturale, la mia Hollister è leggera e maneggevole, merito del

suo telaio a coda morbida e di un equilibrio dei pesi che non

puoi dimenticare. E con il cambio a 6 marce posso fare molta

più strada, anche in due. Lei è un Bobber fatto come si deve,

alla vecchia maniera. Vecchio è bello!

My Hollister’s waiting for me: even a short trip with it is

full of emotions. Its heart, a 88 cu.in. (1,450 cc) S&S engine is

ready at my command, the tank is full, and its 16” wheels are

made for smoothing every road roughness, even inside our town.

Everything’s easy, natural, my Hollister is light and manageable,

thanks to its softail frame and to an unforgettable weight

balance. Moreover, with its 6-speed gear I can go much

further, even with a passenger. It’s a properly made, old-

fashioned Bobber. Old is beautiful!

Perfetta come un millesimato d’annata, è la mia Foxy

Lady. Per godere a pieno la sua rotondità di marcia,

il suo motore che sa spingere forte (il suo motore

S&S da 113 cu.in. – 1.850 cc - non teme il confronto con

nessuno!) quando voglio prendere la strada da solo ma

poi apprezzare la sua comodità con la sella lunga, le

dimensioni più ampie, le sospensioni più morbide nei lunghi

viaggi o quando siamo in due, anche in città. Perché, si

sa, La Foxy Lady è nata per essere amata da due

persone alla volta. Perchè la classe non è acqua!

Perfect like a millésimé that’s my Foxy Lady I can

totally enjoy its full-round run, its powerful engine

(a 113 cu.in. – 1,850 cc – S&S, able to stand comparison

with any other!) when I want to ride alone but also

appreciate the comfort of its long saddle, the larger

size, the smoother shock absorbers during a long

journey or when we are two travellers, even in the

urban environment. You know, Foxy Lady was born to be

loved by two people at a time. You’ve either got it, or

you ain’t!

Quando sono in sella alla mia High Flyin’ sento solo il vento e

la forza bruta del suo S&S da oltre due litri di cilindrata

(124 cu.in.!), sensazioni uniche dell’ultima, vera muscle bike… e mi

lascio alle spalle tutto e tutti. Un suono forte, cupo, profondo

che avvolge ogni cosa che guardo... adoro guidare la mia HF, il

suo telaio softail mi permette di condurre con mano ferma la

sua marcia, le sue gomme a raggi Big Spoke da 21” e 18” sono

aggrappate all’asfalto, mi saldo al suo drag-bar e apro il gas .

UUUUHHHH... full throttle, guys!

When I’m sitting on my High Flyin’ I can only feel the wind and

the brute force of its 124 cu.in. S&S (more than 2 litres!), unique

sensations given by this last real muscle bike… and everything

and everyone is just behind me. A loud, hollow and deep sound is

wrapping everything I see ... I love riding my HF, its softail frame

allows me to firmly direct it, its 21” and 18” Big Spoke wheels

cling to the road surface, I grab its drag-bar and accelerate.

Amo la Woodstock Boogie e chi mi conosce sa perché.

Non c’è bisogno di spiegarlo. La conosco da sempre,

ancor prima di incontrarla conoscevo il suono

inconfondibile del suo S&S pan da 93 cu.in. (1.530 cc).

Mi piace che sia mia, mi piace sapere che lo posso

avere montato su un telaio softail o hardtail, mi

piace il suo ape-hanger e… beh, solo chi l’ha provata

mi può capire!

I love the Woodstock Boogie and who knows me is aware of the reason, no need to explain. I’ve always known it, even before meeting it I knew the unmistakable sound of its 93 cu.in. (1,530 cc) pan S&S. I love to feel it’s mine, I love to know I can have it fit on softail or on a hardtail frame, I like its ape-hanger and… well, only those who tried it can really understand me!
