The holder is authorised to collect Macrobachium australiense from sites within the Mary River catchment [predominately near Tiaro (Emery's Crossing) and in Yabba Creek], Brisbane River (Cameron's Creek, Mt Crosby), Elliott River (predominately in the region around the Bruce Highway Crossing 20 kms south of Bundaberg), Fitzroy River (Glebe Weir and Neville Hewitt Weir).6. The holder is authorised to collect Tenuibramchiurus glypticus from the southern end of Bribie Island outside the National Park and in areas within the Beerburrum State Forest.7. The holder is authorised to collect Cherax quadricarinatus from streams and pools just west of Weipa.8. The holder is authorised to collect Glossamia aprion, Amniataba percoides, Nematolosa erebi, Neosilurus hyrtlii and Hephaestus fuliginosus from major Gulf of Carpentaria drainages (e.g. Archer, Mitchell, Gilbert, Flinders, Leichardt and Gregory River, Norman, Staaten, Cliffdale and Lagoon Creeks and a drainage to the east of Cape York (e.g. Laura, Moorhead, Hann and Normanby Rivers).9. The holder is authorised to collect up to a total of 360 fire tail and striped gudgeons from Lake Maroon.10. The holder is authorised to collect a maximum of 10 female mud crabs. CONDITIONS1. The permit extends to the holder, any staff or students of The School of Natural Resource Science- QUT.2. The holder shall ensure that no more than 50 individuals of each species will be taken from any one collection site.3. The holder shall not collect fisheries resources 3 days before, during, and 3 days after the full moon of each month, particularly in the central Queensland region, whenever possible.4. The holder shall ensure that all apparatus used during permitted activities is marked with name, address and DPI&F permit number and attend such apparatus at all times.5. The holder must be in attendance of all gill nets when set. In attendance means within 100m.6. The holder shall ensure that all specimens taken are for research purposes only and are not to be sold.7. A sign, minimum dimensions of 30cm x 50cm, with the wording "Scientific research in progress Under Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries Permit" in legible characters, is to be located within 15 metres of the collecting activities when collecting is in progress.8. The nets and traps when in use in the appropriate areas, are to be attended at all times by the holder or a person under his direct supervision. Under no circumstances are nets or traps to be placed across the width of creeks or rivers in navigation channels or any other areas where the placement of nets may be hazardous to boat traffic.9. 5. The holder may use only prescribed apparatus as detailed in Chapter 4 of the Fisheries Regulation 2008 and Part 6 of the Fisheries (Freshwater) Management Plan 1999.

8. All non-target, non-approved species must be returned to the water in live condition if possible, and as quickly as possible, at the place of capture.

9. Collected culture stock may be transported to the areas approved on the holder's Development Permit.

10. Culture stock collected under this Permit must be used for aquaculture purposes in accordance with the holder's Development Permit, and the holder must not sell collected culture stock for any purpose.

11. The holder must comply with: a) the requirements of all relevant legislation and obtain approvals from the relevant administering organisations, including Local Authorities; and b) any Codes of Practice or management arrangements relevant to the approved species (eg. Translocation Policy).

12. The holder must immediately obtain a copy of the approved fishing logbook form 'Queensland Broodstock and Culture Stock Collection Logbook (BR01 Version 01)' ("the logbook"), and upon receipt of it: a) Ensure that the permit holder or nominee engaged in broodstock or culture stock collection completes the logbook as per the "Instructions for Use"; and b) Ensure that the logbook is kept in accordance with the instructions contained in the logbook and any written instructions the chief executive may, from time to time, provide. The logbook must remain with the permit holder during fishing activities and at the place of residence of the permit holder when not fishing; and c) Gives the completed logbook to the chief executive in accordance with the instructions contained in the logbook. In particular, this instruction requires that the completed logbook returns be forwarded to the chief executive within a specified time period after the fishing to which they relate has occurred.

5. When collecting redclaw crayfish the holder may use only prescribed apparatus as detailed in Schedule 8 of the Fisheries Regulation 1995.

6. The holder may: a) use prescribed apparatus as detailed in Schedule 8 of the Fisheries Regulation 1995; and b) use up to three (3) gill nets for the purpose of culture stock collection. When using a gill net, the holder, or persons acting on the holder's behalf, must be within one hundred (100) metres of the net and must not leave the net unattended for more than fifteen (15) minutes at any one time. The nets must not: - have a mesh size less than five (5) centimetres; - be joined together; - exceed one hundred (100) metres in length (each net); - be greater than fifty (50) meshes or three (3) metres in drop; c) use seine nets for the purpose of culture stock collection. The nets must not have a mesh size of less than five (5) centimeters; and d) use up to three (3) scoop, dip or framed seine nets for the purpose of culture stock collection; and the nets must not: - have a mesh size larger than twenty-five (25) millimetres; - exceed two (2) metres in length along any side; and e) use seine nets for the purpose of culture stock collection. The nets must not have a mesh size greater than five (5) millimetres.

7. When using a net to collect species other than barramundi, the holder, or persons acting on the holder's behalf may use seine nets that do not have a mesh size of less than five (5) centimetres.

8. When using a net to collect, the holder, or persons acting on the holder's behalf must be within one hundred (100) metres of the net.

9. When using a net to collect barramundi, the holder, or persons acting on the holder's behalf must not leave the net unattended for more than fifteen (15) minutes at any one time.

10. All apparatus used for collection activities must be marked with the name and address of the holder.

CONDITIONS

(1) The permit extends to the holder and any staff or students of the QUT School of Natural Resource Science.

(2) The holder shall ensure that no more than 50 individuals of each species will be taken from any one collection site.

(3) This permit does not apply to threatened fish as listed under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 or that are protected under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 or the Fisheries Act 1994.

(4) The holder shall ensure that all apparatus used during permitted activities is marked clearly with the holders name, address and DPI&F permit number and be in attendance of such apparatus at all times. When nets have been set, in attendance means within 100m.

(5) The holder shall ensure that gill nets when set are checked at intervals no greater than 30 minutes.

(6) The holder must not place nets across the width of creeks or rivers in navigation channels or any other areas where the placement of nets may be hazardous to boat traffic.

(7) A sign, minimum dimensions of 30cm x 50cm, with the message "Scientific Research in progress under DPI&F permitö is to be located within 15m of collecting activities when nets are in use.

(8) The holder shall ensure that all fish specimens taken are for research and education purposes only and are not to be sold.

(9) The holder shall ensure that all fish taken unintentionally during permitted activities are returned to the water as soon as practicable with as little harm or injury as possible.

(10) The holder shall ensure that all noxious fish captured during permitted activities are to be destroyed and disposed of appropriately by burial or placing in a rubbish bin.

(11) The holder shall not collect fisheries resources 3 days before, during and 3 days after the full moon of each month, particularly in the central Queensland region, whenever possible.

1. The holder is authorised to release up to 350,000 redclaw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) per year during each year of this permit, into impounded waters of Tinaroo Falls Dam to the full supply level.

2. The holder is authorised to use the following apparatus for the purpose of monitoring the outcomes of the redclaw stocking program in Tinaroo Falls Dam only: a. Up to 100 funnel (opera house) traps

CONDITIONS

(1) The permit extends to the holders and any person acting under the direction of the authority holder.

(2) The holder must ensure that all apparatus used during authorised activities is marked clearly with the holders name, address and Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) permit number and be in attendance of such apparatus at all times.

(3) A sign, minimum dimensions of 30cm x 50cm, with the message "Scientific Research in progress under DAF permit number 182414" is to be displayed within 100 metres of monitoring activities or displayed from the vessel/s in use for monitoring.

(4) The holder must establish a monitoring program to assess and document the outcomes of the redclaw stocking program in Tinaroo Falls Dam. The monitoring program must be developed in collaboration with DAF and commence within 3 months of the issue date of this permit.

(5) In relation to Authorised Activities 1 of this permit, the holder must not source, take or collect any redclaw crayfish whatsoever from the wild.

(6) The holder must ensure that all fish taken unintentionally during authorised activities are returned to the water as soon as practicable with as little harm or injury as possible.

(7) The holder must ensure that all noxious fish captured during authorised activities are to be destroyed and disposed of appropriately by burial or placing in a rubbish bin.

(8) The holder must notify the local office of the Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol not less than 48 hours prior to any activities commencing under this permit.

(9) The holder must submit a written report one year after the issue of the permit and each subsequent year of the permit outlining the number and size of redclaw crayfish released, the date/s the redclaw crayfish were released, the number of days redclaw monitoring, the number and size of all redclaw crayfish caught and any other data collected under the monitoring program to the Chief Executive, Fisheries Queensland, PO Box 46, Brisbane QLD 4001.

(10) The holder must carry this permit (or a copy) during authorised activities and produce it at any time on request for inspection by an officer authorised under the Fisheries Act 1994.

CONDITIONS1. The permit extends to the holder (Cairns Aquarium and Reef Research Centre), employees of Cairns Aquarium and Reef Research Centre and any other person authorised by the holder. A person authorised by the holder must have a copy of the permit and written authorisation by the holder which states the name of the person undertaking the authorise activities, the authorised activities to be undertaken, number of species to be taken and possessed, locations to the fished and the period of authorisation.

2. A sign, minimum dimensions of 30cm x 50cm with the message “Authorised Activities in progress under DAF permit number 189880” is to be displayed within 15 meters of collecting activities.

3. The holder must ensure that all fish specimens taken or possessed are for display and research purposes only and are not to be sold or consumed. Progeny of fish collected must also not be sold.

4. The holder must ensure that all fish taken unintentionally during authorised activities are returned to the water as soon as practicable with as little harm as possible.

5. The holder must ensure that any fish collected under this permit that are considered restricted matter under the Biosecurity Act 2014 must be killed as soon as possible and disposed of in a whole state either by burial in ground above the high water mark or placing in a waste disposal receptacle (i.e. a bin).

6. The authorisation to take regulated species does not remove any limitations placed on the take and possession of these species by any other government agency.

7. The holder must notify the local office of Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol not less than 48 hours prior to any activities commencing under this permit.

8. The holder must submit a written report one year after the issue of the permit and each subsequent year of the permit outlining the number and species of fisheries resources caught (including released, taken and incidental mortalities), apparatus used, locations fished and days fished to the Chief Executive, Fisheries Queensland, PO Box 46, Brisbane QLD 4001.

3. The holder is authorised to use the following apparatus: a. Dip nets up to 80cm in width, with a mesh size of 3mm. b. Prescribed recreational fishing apparatus as detailed in Chapter 4, Part 1 of the Fisheries Regulation 2008.

CONDITIONS1. The permit extends to the holder (Cairns Aquarium and Reef Research Centre), employees of Cairns Aquarium and Reef Research Centre and any other person authorised by the holder. A person authorised by the holder must have a copy of the permit and written authorisation by the holder which states the name of the person undertaking the authorise activities, the authorised activities to be undertaken, number of species to be taken and possessed, locations to the fished and the period of authorisation.

2. A sign, minimum dimensions of 30cm x 50cm with the message “Authorised Activities in progress under DAF permit number 189880” is to be displayed within 15 meters of collecting activities.

3. The holder must ensure that all fish specimens taken or possessed are for display and research purposes only and are not to be sold or consumed. Progeny of fish collected must also not be sold.

4. The holder must ensure that all fish taken unintentionally during authorised activities are returned to the water as soon as practicable with as little harm as possible.

5. The holder must ensure that any fish collected under this permit that are considered restricted matter under the Biosecurity Act 2014 must be killed as soon as possible and disposed of in a whole state either by burial in ground above the high water mark or placing in a waste disposal receptacle (i.e. a bin).

6. The authorisation to take regulated species does not remove any limitations placed on the take and possession of these species by any other government agency.

7. The holder must notify the local office of Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol not less than 48 hours prior to any activities commencing under this permit.

8. The holder must submit a written report one year after the issue of the permit and each subsequent year of the permit outlining the number and species of fisheries resources caught (including released, taken and incidental mortalities), apparatus used, locations fished and days fished to the Chief Executive, Fisheries Queensland, PO Box 46, Brisbane QLD 4001.

9. The holder must carry this permit (or a copy) during authorised activities and produce it at any time on request for inspection by an officer authorised under the Fisheries Act 1994.

CONDITIONS

“Broodstock collection in progress under DAF permit number 195983” is to be displayed and visible for public scrutiny on board any vessel used for authorised activities.

(4) The holder must ensure that collected broodstock are transported to the areas approved on the Development Permit 2017BC0629.

(5) The holder must ensure that all broodstock taken are used for aquaculture purposes in accordance with the Development Permit 2017BC0629, and must not sell collected broodstock for any purpose.

(6) The holder must ensure that all fisheries resources taken unintentionally during authorised activities are returned to the water as soon as practicable with as little harm or injury as possible.

(7) The holder must ensure that all fish classified as restricted matter under the Biosecurity Act 2014 captured during authorised activities are to be destroyed and disposed of by burial or placing in a rubbish bin.

(8) The holder must ensure that all excess redclaw crayfish caught during authorised activities are not to be returned to the water and must be destroyed and disposed of by burial or placing in a rubbish bin.

(9) The holder must comply with: a) the requirements of all relevant legislation and obtain approvals from the relevant administering organisations, including Local Authorities; and b) any Codes of Practice or management arrangements relevant to the approved species (eg. Translocation Policy).

(10) The holder must immediately obtain a copy of the approved fishing logbook form 'Qld Broodstock and Culture Stock Collection Logbook (BR01 Version 01)' ("the logbook"), and upon receipt of it: a) Ensure that the permit holder or nominee engaged in broodstock or culture stock collection completes the logbook as per the "Instructions for Use"; b) Ensure that the logbook is kept in accordance with the instructions contained in the logbook and any written instructions the chief executive may, from time to time, provide. The logbook must remain with the permit holder during fishing activities and at the place of residence of the permit holder when not fishing; c) Gives the completed logbook to the chief executive in accordance with the instructions contained in the logbook. In particular, this instruction requires that the completed logbook returns be forwarded to the chief executive within a specified time period after the fishing to which they relate has occurred.

(11) The holder must contact the nearest office (to the collection location) of the Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol, by phone, prior to any culture stock collection trip, with details of the places and times of the collection activity.

(12) The holder must carry this permit (or a copy) during authorised activities and produce it at any time on request for inspection by an officer authorised under the Fisheries Act 1994.

The holder shall submit a written report on expiry of this permit outlining the number of fish taken, apparatus used and days fished to Queensland Fisheries Service, GPO Box 2764, BRISBANE Q 4001.12. The holder must carry this permit (or a copy) during authorised activities and produce it at any time on request for inspection by an officer authorised under the Fisheries Act 1994.
