Note: It is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that you are registered for the correct modules for your programme. You must study 120 Credits at both Stage 2 and Stage 3 giving a total of 240 Credits over the two stages. At least 90 Credits must be taken at Level 6 during Stage 3 to be eligible for an Honours degree. You must ensure that you choose an even weighting of Credits in each term: 60 Credits in the Autumn and 60 Credits in the Spring.
YEAR ABROAD – STAGE A ??-A:BA If you are taking a History programme with a Year Abroad, please see the relevant three year programme tables below to select your Stage 2 or 3 module options. The Year Abroad is taken between stages 2 and 3. During your year abroad, you will follow a course of full-time study at one of the approved Universities in Europe, North America, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, or South Africa. Students will select courses before going abroad in consultation with the Student Experience Manager).
TERM ABROAD – STAGE 2 OR 3 ??-TA:BA
To be eligible for study abroad, you need to have achieved an average of 60 or above in your first year of studies.
For the term abroad, you may opt to spend either Term 2 of Year 2, or Term 1 of Year 3 abroad (but note that both options are not always available in every programme, and for some destinations, only a full academic exchange year is possible.
Please note: Joint honours students taking the term abroad will not be permitted to take wild modules in order to ensure they reach the minimum 90 credits per subject requirement.
