The HDM Wonder Bracket is a simple bolt on bracket that re-enforces the original actuator arm on your Jackson Racing Supercharger to prevent it from wearing out. Installation time of the Wonder Bracket depends on you and your mechanical skills. It is suggested that you read through the directions a few times to familiarize yourself with the components of the kit, and your car. If you are pretty handy with tools the Wonder Bracket can be installed in about 15 minutes, how-ever we suggest that you schedule at least an hour for the installation.

Disassembly

1. First you will want to mark the position of your vacuum actuator before we loosen the 2 bolts that hold the actuator in place. Using a pencil mark a line where the ac-tuator bolts to the supercharger so you can put your actuator back in the same position.

2. Once you have marked the location of the actuator remove the 2 bolts that hold the actuator in place. Depending on the year of your supercharger kit these may be 10mm head bolts or 5 mm Allen bolts.

3. With both bolts removed, the vacuum ac-tuator should now be held in place with only the rod that connects it to the bypass arm. Rotate the black bypass arm 180 degrees so that it is pointing toward the firewall.

4. With the bypass arm pointing towards the firewall, you should be able to slide the vacuum actuator out of the bypass arm.

5. If your car looks like the picture to the right, we are ready to start installing the HDM supercharger wonder bracket.

* Please note that we have included 2 extra bolts and 2 extra nuts as we will be working in a tight area with small hardware. If you drop one of these small bolts it is best to try to find it, but we have included a couple extra just in case you drop them and can not find them.

Congratulations! You did it! If you have any ques-tions feel free to call or send us an email. If you have a digital camera, send us a picture of the bracket installed on your car, we would love to see it!

1. We are now ready to install the new wonder bracket in the car. Start by finding the won-der bracket piece that looks like a “C”. Slide the open end of the “C” over the shaft on the supercharger bypass mechanism and rotate the “C” piece until the flat part on the “C” fits under the tab on the supercharger bypass mechanism.

2. Once the “C” piece is in place, put one of the small bolts through the “O” piece and put the bolt through the hole on the “C” piece, sand-wiching the bypass mechanism arm like the picture at the right. With one bolt through, finger tighten one of the nuts onto the small bolt you just put in.

3. Now put another small bolt through the other hole on the wonder bracket and finger tighten a nut on the back also

4. With the sandwiched assembly finger tight, point the supercharger bypass mechanism tab toward the firewall and you will be able to slide the rod from the bypass actuator through the sandwiched wonder bracket and bypass arm.

5. Once you have the rod through, using the supplied Allen wrench and a pair of pliers to hold the nut on the back, tighten the 2 bolts on the wonder bracket.

6. With 2 bolts on the wonder bracket tight, ro-tate the bypass mechanism tab so that it is facing toward the front of the car. Re-install the 2 bolts that hold the bypass actuator in place. Make sure you position the bypass actuator back to its original orientation based on the pencil marks that you made when we disassembled it. Tighten the bypass actuator bolts fully. If your car looks like the picture to the right, you are done!

Hint: If you are having a hard time getting the rod to go back through the sandwich of pieces, you may have the “O” piece upside down. Remove both bolts, flip it over and try again.
