Hybrid TV operation
Broadcast MHP applications have been on air in Italy since 2003, addressing almost any possible domain (T-Government, T-Banking, T-Betting, T-Tourism, ...).
Today 15 stable operational MHP Services are currently offered by broadcasters in Italy, including:
- 2 Bouquet EPGs
- 3 Free Catch-up TV Services.
- Free VoD thematic Services(Sport, News, ...)
- 1 freemium catch-up TV Services (free high quality contents with Marlin DRM protection)
- 2 VoD pay Services
- First Service Program Guide for all free/pay MHP applications will be launched in the next months by tivùsat
MHP has ended-up being an almost Italian-only game whilst HbbTV has spread across Europe and beyond.
Thanks to the forthcoming adoption of HTML-5 among others technology, HbbTV 2.0 core has been recognized as the best solution for the future in Italy
