I AM NOT THERE

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not here, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn’s rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush.

Of quiet birds in circled flight,

I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there, I did not die.

When we are in need of comfort

We walk down memory lane

There we see you smiling

We talk with you again.....

.....And as we wander slowly back

We seem to hear you say

Don’t grieve, don’t cry, my family

We’ll meet again some day.

If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My

Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you,

that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My

commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
