The samples were received on 3/2/2017 3:30 PM; the samples arrived in good condition, properly preserved and, where required, on ice.
The temperature of the cooler at receipt was 2.3º C.
GC Semi VOA Method 8082: The following samples required a tetrabutylammonium sulfite (TBA) clean-up to reduce matrix interferences caused by
sulfur: PCB-100 (720-78005-1), PCB-101 (720-78005-2), (LCS 720-218954/2-A) and (MB 720-218954/1-A), PCB-102 (720-78005-3),
PCB-104 (720-78005-5), (720-78005-A-5-A MS) and (720-78005-A-5-B MSD).
Method 8082: The following sample contained more than one Aroclor with insufficient separation to quantify individually. The PCBs present are quantified as the predominant Aroclor: PCB-101 (720-78005-2).
Method 8082: The following sample contained more than one Aroclor with insufficient separation to quantify individually. The PCBs present are quantified as the predominant Aroclor: PCB-103 (720-78005-4).
Method 8082: The following sample was diluted due to the abundance of non-target analytes: PCB-102 (720-78005-3) and PCB-104 (720-78005-5). Elevated reporting limits (RLs) are provided.
Method 8082: The following samples required a dilution due to the nature of the sample matrix: PCB-102 (720-78005-3), PCB-104 (720-78005-5), (720-78005-A-5-A MS) and (720-78005-A-5-B MSD). Because of this dilution, the surrogate spike concentration in the sample was reduced to a level where the recovery calculation does not provide useful information.
Method 8082: The following sample appears to contain polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs); however, due to weathering or other environmental processes, the PCBs in the sample do not closely match any of the laboratory's Aroclor standards used for instrument calibration: PCB-101 (720-78005-2). The sample has been quantified and reported as Aroclor 1248. Due to the poor match with the Aroclor standard, there is increased qualitative and quantitative uncertainty associated with this result.
